Visited mid mid to late afternoon on a Thursday with my wife. Nice place, like that it's open to see the brewing operation (which was a little bit active when we visited), pretty good selection of stuff on tap. Both indoor and outdoor seating.
Maybe 12-16 taps, reasonable but not large spread of styles, everything we tried was very well-made. Staff was helpful and kind, though not engaging. Good place to go get a good beer and be left alone.

Warehouse building in industrial park on north side of town. L-shaped bar in the right hand corner, half service, half 6 seats. Additional tables about the room and in the front driveway. A dozen beers on tap, I enjoyed their Bulbous Flowers. Food truck. Friendly service.

Big open taproom with ample seating, high ceilings, brewery/tanks just behind bar. Has an old west theme, with feel of a saloon at the bar; decor slightly rustic. Pretty good traffic for early on a Tuesday afternoon and dog friendly so some puppers were around which is always cool.
Great beers - our third visit here (from Canada) and yet to have a bad beer. The Roustabout was on tap and fantastic.
Order at the bar - friendly and helpful.
14 beers on tap with IPAS, couple of stouts, Belgian styles, and three wild/ferel ales.
A must visit in San Diego.

From our visit in May.
Stopped by for a few beers on a Saturday afternoon. Roomy, clean, and built like most brewpubs these days. No food at this point, but a food truck was just outside the door. Prices were standard, and the people behind the bar were very helpful. I had the Pugilist and Coachman.. both of which were very good. Because we were hitting up a couple of breweries, our time was short.

Loved this place. Beers were great and staff was really nice. Talked beer and sports with us for hours.

After a day at the hotel playing games and swimming, we took a mid-afternoon drive to Societe. Loved the place. Best vibe of all the places visit on our SD vcation. We played Monopoly, my son played with a dog, and we talked with locals. My wife had an excellent pilsner and I had a great IPA (Pupil) and Belgian Strong Dark. As a snack, we ordered some food from a food truck. I brought a bottle of one of their feral (wild) ales.

Visited Societe Tuesday 12/26/17. Arrived just before closing so I wasn't able to experience it as anticipated. Being so late I only had time for one brew. The Apprentice was my choice. An IPA which I enjoyed. I shared it with the others with me and we purchased a growler to take with us. Good tasting beer. The environment was comfortable with the vats in full view. Located in a somewhat industrial area with an understated entry, inside was what one would expect, wooden bar, long high top tables with bar stool and good music, not built for comfort. The two servers were friendly and talkative when engaged. Will return next time I visit SD.

One of the pros to Societe's tasting room is that they make a point to feature different varieties of beers. One of the downsides is that, like many SD breweries, the menu is hop heavy but hoppy is popular and it sells, I get it. recently theyve added sour/feral beers to the menu which is a welcomed change because the overall palate leaned a but on the heavy side here.
Sizable tasting room and outdoor area, with friendly staff. Bottles and merch for sale but the 12oz sour bottles are a bit pricey for my tastes.

I just love arrogant bartenders at breweries. The current explosion of craft beer has fueled this arrogance. I just moved to the West from the East, been stopping by local breweries when I get the chance. Stopped by to Société, because I happened to be in the neighborhood. I have had several beers at beer bars and the bartenders raved about the beer. The few I tried were great! So I was excited to visit. Walked in at sat at L-shaped bar. Waited for service....never happened. I waited and observed. I'm guessing after 15minutes, that it was counter service. My problem was the bartender saw me. The bartender walked by me twice, never said a word to me. So I left. I don't get upset anymore. FYI bartenders it is your job to inform new guests of your policy. Not the guests job to figure it out.

Typical San Diego setting of the back end of a strip mall / office park, but they've dressed it up a notch with the nice barrel room viewing and seating setup. Beers were really very good, especially the Pupil and the Butcher. They had about 15 beers on tap, which I thought was a great selection for the size of the brewery.

Societe Brewing is located in an industrial business park. Once you enter inside you do feel different, in a good way, like a brewery. It was a nice vibe. The tap and bar area is near the entrance and they had tables and chairs around. The production area is visible from the tasting room which I think creates a nice environment to enjoy beers and talk with friends.
They had about 10 Societe beers on tap. The server was nice and welcoming. I had couple of their stouts, both of which were good. One wish I have is if they could serve some of their sours on tap.
Enjoyed my visit.

Don't judge a book my its cover. Non-descript exterior hides a welcoming interior. Beer is exceptional and the beer-tenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Great selection...from west coast hoppy to roasty brews rarely associated with southern California.

World class beer but the worst service of any brewery in SD. They love the word "no" so be prepared. There were two of us and we asked for 3 tasters and we were told "only two at at a time". So one per person? Then they tell us they'll fill "any" flip top growler. We head to the car and when we return they say "oh the neck's too narrow, We'll waste too much beer". It's pretty clear they don't need our business...

Good time overall at Société, but got some unexpected attitude from the bartender for no apparent reason. He could use a few lessons in customer service. Enjoyed the beers very much.

One of the standout breweries in the San Diego area for me.
Staff here was cool as hell and allowed for great conversation.
The beer selection was varied and there were a few real standouts. Prices are very fair. Definitely a nice stop in SD and one that can be made before continuing on to Alesmith, and other north SD breweries and spots.
