Not getting much corn for an adjunct lager. Pretty good for what it claims to be. Tastes better than most at its low price point. The malt balances the taste out fairly well. I will purchase again.

I haven’t rated this before because it was retired before I joined BA.
Yuengling has recently become available and it made me remember Busch copper lager, it was so much better than Yuengling.
Light reddish copper color.
Clean smell with some caramel coming through.
Tasted fairly light but you got the sweetness from the caramel and it was t overpowering. It was really good, I can’t believe they stopped making it. Regular Busch and Busch light are nearly undrinkable.
Really miss it.

This beer was fantastic while it lasted. To compare to beers still made sort of a mix between Michelob Amberbock & Killian's Irish Red but much smoother than either & at a fantastic price point. Not a fan of any other Busch beer but they really hit a home run with this one. Unfortunately AB must've decided Busch must always remain a crap beer brand so decided to discontinue it.

I know there's probably no point in reviewing this beer since it's been gone for 2 years now.
But man, do I miss it. In the off chance that someone at AB reads all the positive reviews and realizes this was the only actually good product they produced, i'll rant. The taste was far more superior to any of their way over advertised offerings. I just can't believe that with as big as this company is and all the brands they've acquired, they couldn't let this one hang on. A beer like this that had good taste, very reasonable price, and mass availability would have caught on eventually.

They tried to enter the higher abv market with black crown and platinum, but this one really stood out. For one its by far the best Busch beer ever produced and you would have thought they would have kept this around as a low price option with much more flavor to offer than any Natural product and way more complexed than Rolling Rock which they butchered.

But I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed as I stroll pass the stacks and stacks of bland, tasteless beers that all the sheep in the world buy in droves because stupid tag lines on T.V. Tell them to, that I may one day again stumble upon this diamond in the rough.

I picked up a couple 12 packs of these at Wally world in the Raleigh NC area. This beer pours a nice copper color. The smell isn't anything extraordinary. The taste is what I like the most about this beer. The freshness date was from 2015 and I just finished my second to last one a few days ago. It was stored in my refrigerator the whole time. The taste is on par with other beers of this style for me. The alcohol content of 5.7% is good because it has a little extra kick. The mouthfeel is average.

I am disappointed that they retired this beer and I would not be surprised if they release something like it with a different name at some point.

I have never been a Busch drinker but after trying this beer I was hooked. This quickly became my favorite macro brew. Sad to see this one go.

Looks: Pours a beautiful copper color with a nice white head and extremely small bubbles. Surprisingly, the head lingers throughout the tasting.

Smell: Cloyingly sweet with a hint of caramel. If you try real hard, you can imagine smelling something resembling hops.

Taste: Sweet with a caramel flavor

Body: Very light body

Overall: For the price, it is an awesome beer. I sometimes wonder if they just put their Black Crown into a Busch can.

From a 25 fl oz can with a date of 15Sep16 on the bottom whatever that signifies. Sampled on November 12, 2016.

Handsome looking copper amber pour under a short lasting white head. Nice clarity.

Strong sweet caramel, brown bed, and syrup like aroma. Low to no hop profile.

Light and chewy body.

The taste may be over the top sweet with caramel but it is a far cry from its otherwise ordinary big brother Busch regular. Mild finish. Better than you might think.
