A- pours a cloudy gold with a short lived off white head. Decent lacing.

S- honey, and lots of it. There is a touch of bourbon buried in there as well.

T- honey again, which fades into an off putting oak flavor with a slightly bitter finish. The flavors don't really work together.

M- light, a little sticky. Prickly carbonation.

O- smells nice, but I'm not a fan of the taste.

Not sure why anyone would buy this. The color is a dirty hazy amber and it has very little carbonation. Smells of mild sweet honey and what appears to be bourbon but it could easily just be caramel malt on how faint it is. Taste doesn't have much not even hard water just some sweet honey LIKE sweetness and some faint oak or bourbon or something. It also made the wheat very dirty tasting but it could just be AB using shitty ingredients.

Overall not worth the $2.50 for the single. Best to avoid if you can not even if you LOVE Bourbon ales.

Ever picked up the wrong bottle from a college dorm room during a 2 day bender and find that you just swilled the residuals from an old english 800 and 3 spent cigarette butts? Very reminiscent, but I intentionally drank this one! So in accordance with the rules, I would classify this beer as quite smoky, somewhat sweet, and containing alcohol. It could possibly work as a steak marinade. I will try repurposing before recycling.

Best thing I can say about it is that it is somewhat interesting.

I purchased on a whim, would not buy again or recommend.

Pouring it into a cold glass helps it a lot, but it has no head to speak of, its very honey colored. Tastes very watery. Its probably something they could rework and get right but at the moment its going to be hard to finish off the six pack.

Everyone I know who tried this beer says it's one of the worst beers they've had.

This is the F-ing Love Guru of beers.

July 3rd was my last day at work before vacation and I got trashed so on the 4th when we went to a friend's for fireworks I wasn't going to drink. We stopped and got some Shock Top, planning on leaving it there. When we left, the host said we could take a few of the honey bourbon... with us. We took two.
No one who tasted this beer could stomach finishing it.

Me: You have to try this but have a chaser ready.

Liz, my sister: this smells and tastes like what my cat smells like when he's upset. You know that funky, angry cat musk?

Dan: It's like when you were in gym and they made you run around the track. Then you took off your shoes and socks and wrung the socks into a glass and drank it. But only after a week of them sitting in your locker.

Jake: I can taste everything in the label... ugh. It's like cask and honey. Like two pieces of charcoal drizzled with honey... Wowthat'sbad.

Me (giving it a fifth chance): Every time you taste it gets worse. The bourbon and honey is present. The wheat is there too. The problem is it actually tastes like someone poured Jack D's Honey whiskey into a shitty sour wheat beer. I give it the Blutarski 0.00.

Rarily in one of my reviews, does the overall sum equal more than its parts, but to me, there should be a category for in how interesting the beer is. To me, perhaps because of my own naivety this beer was far from a dime a dozen. While the sweetness, was almost to much, it was not something I have experienced before, and new always scores well to me. The cloudy beer is always appealing, I did not love the mouthfeel, and though i will probably not do this same beer again, i will recommend it to some of my friends as an interesting change of pace.
