The beer poured into the glass crystal clear medium brown with an off-white very low head which dissipated quickly and really didn't do much lacing on the glass.
The aroma was nutty with a light bit of chocolate and a banana fruity character when first poured and as the head was quickly falling. As it warmed more caramel emerged with some lightly spicy hop character and a smidge of raisins.
The flavor was very light with just light caramel and a bit of chocolate coupled with a very light spicy hop presence. The dark fruit, raisin, in the aroma was just a whisper in the flavor.
The finish was dry with a lasting bit of caramel impression into the aftertaste. The body was medium with a moderate level of carbonation and a prickly feel on the palate. A very easy drinking beer, but a very uninspired one as well.
12 ounce bottle.
