Pale piss-colored lager. Pours a minimal amount of soda-like head and is gone before you can blink. Lots of visible bubbles and no lacing.

Nose cosists of corn and rice adjuncts which are slightly skunked and a hint of hops.

Adjuncts dominate the flavor, lots of corn husk. Mild leaf-like hop. Some skunky flavor and has a tart, off flavor in the end. Pretty much a mess.

Thin, watery consistency. Lots of carbonation. Slick feel and no texture at all.

Every time I review a BMC product I really try to look deep for the good qualities and rate it for what it is. Unfortunately, even for a light beer this stuff is not good. The only good side is that you can drink a lot of these but due to the lack of flavor, would you really want to? Sorry AB, you have failed once again. (780 characters)

A- Clear yellow, frothy head disappears quickly. No lacing.
S- Relatively clean. Sweet grains, but not altogether terrible.
T- Clean up front, lightly sweet grains, corn in the finish.
M- Light body, zippy carbonation.
O- A decent light lager I guess. Nothing remarkable, and generally light in every regard. In that sense, mission accomplished. (345 characters)

Michelob Light has a very thick, white head and a clear, yellow appearance with lots of active carbonation and a little lacing left behind. The aroma is almost neutral, but some clean water is detected. Taste is bland, with light barley or other grain and just the slightest showing of hop bitterness for rounding. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Michelob Light finishes crisp and fairly refreshing. It's mostly just a typical, dull light beer.

It is not too bad in the looks department. It has a nice white head and spread out lace. The body is a pale straw gold color. The aroma is faint but what is there does smell corny. The body is watery with some carbonation tickle. This beer has a very light American Pilsner taste. It is a little bit sweet, corny and with a faint saaz tone. For a light beer it is not too bad. (376 characters)

i used to drink michelob light in my college days ("the cockpit" in 5points- columbia sc). i drank it mainly because it was their cheap beer. the unique bottle it came in and the price were the best things about it. dont get me wrong michelob aint bad... its just an average american beer from one of the big boxes. i honestly dont think i could tell the difference in a blind taste test between bud, coors, michelob or any of the other light american lagers. its not to say that i dont like them, i mean, if you got some drinkin to do they're a welcomed old friend- my pallet has grown a bit over the years and if i'm drinkin beer for taste, i'm not going with an american light beer. all of that said- michelob isn't a bad product. if you got one for me ill gladly drink it. (776 characters)

Enjoyed from a bottle into a "cut-off" Pilsner glass at Racquets Pub in Chesterfield, MO.

Appearance- Great amount of lace on the side of the glass as the "pond-like" head disappeared quickly. Golden Yellow with a single string of carbonation coming from the middle.

Smell- A light but crisp smell. Corn as usual with these light beers.

Taste- Nice amount of grain taste and seems like water is a 95% ingredient in this beer.

Mouthfeel- Light Bodied, smooth, and Refreshing. Great!

Drinkability- Enjoyed 3 back to back all poured into this interesting pilsner glass. The drinkability is unreal on these as well as they go down easier than ever. Loving the beer from Saint Louis lately! (691 characters)

Poured 12oz. bottle into a pint glass.

The color is a orange/gold with a slight half finger of foamy white head that leaves rather quickly and leaves no lacing.

The smell is a slight malty aroma but leaves me really straining to get anything out of the nose. Some pilsner flavor is there but washed in a watery muted flavor that kicks down the aroma and leaves me trying to get more.

The taste is mixed with a vague pilsner malt flavor with a slight hop bitterness but that stays off a bit till there a watery crisp flavor that washes off everything else.

The feel of this beer is light and drinkable for even the occasional beer drinker this goes down with little effort. (676 characters)

Pours a hazy yellow color, some carbonation, nice little one-finger white head, with some minimal sticky lacing left behind. The nose is kinda malty, with some funkyness. The taste is slightly sweet, malty. Light Body. Not Drinkable, this one is just like the rest of the macros out there, not worth of buying again. (316 characters)

A- Watery, clear pale yellow with big foam that takes forever to recede and leaves decent rings of lace.

S- biscuits and corn, no hops can be detected

T- boiled vegetables, corn, biscuits, and cardboard.

M- Very thin and watery with no hop bite, only a carbonation bite.

D- Drinkable like water. Bland and boring. (318 characters)

Pale gold color with a good size white head with fair retention which leaves some lacing. Smells of cooked vegetables and some grain. Disappointing. There is no hop aroma.

The beer taste much like it smells. Cooked vegetables, grain, and a small amount of sweetness. Nothing to get excited about.

As expected, light bodied, thin and watery, with decent carbonation. This is not a beer I would seek out again. (410 characters)

OK, maybe I'm drinking a different Michelob Light since the reviews from March 2010, but I actually have no complaints about this one. It's a Light beer that goes down quite smooth. I enjoyed it, but still prefer the beer I brew myself.

Appearance - Pale yellow with a moderate carbonation. A decent poured head with some substantial lacing. The head dissipated after about 2 minutes but left a decent remnant of what it once was when poured.

Smell - Hops are noticeable, though the beer comes across as sort of sweet and malty. It smells better than Coors Light.

Taste - Initial taste is dry but clean. No metallic flavor at all. It made me want another sip and then I finished it. Definitely an American Light Lager.

Mouthfeel - Very light, but has some depth. Slightly over carbonated but acceptable for an inexpensive light beer.

Drinkability - Like I said... goes down smooth! it was what I expected from a Michelob Light. Could definitely throw back a few of these at a backyard barbecue. (999 characters)

Pours a thin yellowish straw color with a thick rocky white head and no lacing. Smells of corn and some grain, hops are nowhere to be found. Tastes quite awful. Like corn on the cob in a biscuit. Mouthfeel is super thin and the drinkability is fairly decent for something that tastes like horse piss. (300 characters)

I will openly cop to having once been a big consumer of Michelob. My uncle always had it in the fridge when he would come east every summer and I simply followed his lead until Rolling Rock really took off while I was in Cali with the navy. I wonder what its Light iteration may be like, but thanks to Tone77 and The CANQuest (TM), I am about to find out! CAN I get some love?

From the CAN: "All-Malt Light Lager" - really?!? That was one of the pluses of original Mich - NO adjuncts. Good. Also, "AmeriCAN-style light lager brewed with a blend of Hallertau, Strissel Spalt and other hop varieties." Zounds!

The Crack & Glug proceeded as usual, with a short moment of panic as the creamy, bone-white head began to approach the lip of the glass. Fortunately, I know what to do in such situations and backed off of my pour. Great head retention, BTW. Color was a light lemon-yellow with NE-quality clarity. Nose was light with a citrusy spiciness that was truly unexpected. It was like lemon zest with a mild biscuitiness. Mouthfeel was medium with a lemony taste on the tongue along with an attendant bite or snap. Dang, this is pretty good! Finish had more of a biscuit taste, but the lemon was still there. It reminded me of Archway Lemon Snap cookies. Completely unexpected! The only knock on this was its watery mouthfeel. I would bring this in the cooler for those who are into Light beers, but I am not a calorie counter, plus I am betting that this is sold at the "Premium" price range and I would not want a case at those prices. (1,539 characters)

Diet beer that looks like some water that had a little bit of beer spilled in it. Carbonated decently with lace even. I guess I would say this smells like stagnant water.

Taste, slightly better than some diet beers. Reminiscient of the metallic diet generic soda taste. Uhm, there does seem to be more hops in it than your average diet beer, but that's like saying this dog turd is shinier than another's.

What knob pays more than $1 per beer for this stuff? $6.99 at Walmart. Not drinkable. (494 characters)

Poured this brew in my glass and watched as the thin head went south in twenty seconds. Little lacing, little cling. Color is amber, a little darker than most light beers, rating a 4 on the SRM chart. Smells like corn, rice, and wheat...slightly sweet. Tastes of barley, wheat, corn and rice, with a slight hop finish. Watery in my mouth, too much carbonation, bites at my tongue. I could probably drink a bushel full and not get much of a buzz. Another light beer that is just lacking in everything to be worth paying for, none the less drinking. Most likely my first and last. (578 characters)

Reviewed from notes. Nothing like a "100" list to urge on old review entry.

Pours with about a quarter of the color density of straw with the thinest of thin white heads. Nose brings forth light grain and cardboard. Taste brings the same. Almost so light it's hard to find even those flavors. Feel is way overly carbonated and drinks poorly. Light, cardboard-soaked seltzer water. (381 characters)

a can poured chilled into a willybecker

A - a straw golden w/ slight chill haze and thick sudsy 1 inch cap which flattens to a ring

S - The smell of cooked veggies and a dms smell w/ a light sweet adjunct and mild floral yeast ester

M- A crisp thin and slick and almost soapy texture an somewhat high carbonation, but overall it lacks a real finish

T - A mild sweet flavor w/ light tangy corn taste w/ a palate coating and plastic/soapy flavor that is hard to get past

D - A pretty poor drinkability score -I gave it my honest review -it is basically tasteless, a waste of time -avoid (589 characters)

Bottle: Poured a golden color lager with a fizzy pure white head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma of sweet malt with light corn notes is bland and not that enjoyable. Taste is also a bland mix between some sweet malt with light adjunct notes (I know the label states all-malt lager but I have a hard time believing this). Body is light with good carbonation. Bland lager and not something that need to be revisited. (426 characters)

[bottle - 12 oz] Not a bad light beer. Has a sickly pale yellow color with mild carbonation. Light aroma with some mild grass and corn hints. Weak taste of hops, grass, corn and some dry malts. Very watery. No head. Not a beer I would get again I do not think. (260 characters)

Bland, watery, and boring. This beer is extremely light. The flavor is of corn and water. Pours a pale yellow without a head. This is water with a hint of skunky grain. Worse than bud light. They actually made a light version of water with gold hue and has only 123 calories!!! (277 characters)

Appears a pale fizzy yellow lager with decent scattered thin lacing lining the glass. Aroma has semi sweet pale malts with some actual herbal hop notes going on. It's a light American lager brewed by the big boys but it's not horrible. Again decent hop action going on because you can actually detect some hops even if it's a subdued version of what I've come to know as a hop profile. Easy going more flavorful than the average BMC, nice golf outing brew for a hot summer day. Mouthfeel is light with carbonation that tickles the back of the throat a bit much, fizzy yellow lager has it's place. Not something I'll be buying but it's a welcome leftover in my fridge after a get together the other night, again better than the average AB brews that most people drink like kool-aid. (781 characters)

Michelob Light. Mich Brewing Co. 4.3% alcohol.
Giving the bottle a try, poured into a pint glass.

A- Pours a "slightly darker than the typical Macro-light lager" pale yellow fluid with a massive one and a half inch white head that quickly falls into a froth and ring around the glass. Small strings of lacing remains on the walls of the glass.

S- Malty metallic scents dominate the nose with light corn and grain backbone. Possibly a tangy note of sour hops.

T-M- Taste is crisp with a small bitter bite of hops followed my a corn husk flavor finished with watery malts. Mouthfeel is a no brainer of watery beer with light carbonation popping on the tastebuds.

D- A drinkable macro that gets the job done but still has the stale light beer flavor. Good and all and all above other beers of its nature. (806 characters)

A - Light gold, bordering clear. Pretty large, white head.

S - Grainy, corn scent. Fairly sweet smell, but not all that active of a smell.

T - Light flavor, light malt and some grain/corn sweetness. Also has a slight hint of hops.

M - Light and watery, but fairly smooth.

D - Easy to drink, like the rest from this style.

Notes: As far as light beers and Macro-like beers, it is decent. However I don't know if the slight improvement is worth the increase in price. (471 characters)
