Natural Light is brewed with a blend of premium American and imported hops, and a combination of malt and corn. Its longer brewing process produces a lighter body, fewer calories and an easy-drinking character.

What does it mean when you review this beer?
a.) you're in college
b.) you're currently unemployed
c.) you're a cheap son-of-a-bitch
d.) none of the above

My answer is 'd' , none of the above, I swear!

I was painting the ceilings in the bedrooms, 3 of them, today and I told my wife to go get me "light beer, whatever's on sale".

She came back with a cold 12 pack of this beer and said it was on sale for $4.49.

All right, I'll admit there was a time when I would drink cases of this stuff in the summer, sometimes a case or more over the course of a long hot day.

That was 20 years ago... thanks for remembering, Sweetheart!

I'm on number 9 as of this review and I'm actually thinking about asking her to go get me more...

At $.35 for the can I thought I'd give it a shot.

The sweet/sour malt quality familiar to the style dominates the aroma, with just a touch of hops.
Pours with a real attractive chalk white head that is very loud in it's fizziness. The head leaves pretty quickly to a ring and a scattered bubble cover. Water clear of very pale gold.
The flavor holds a sourness at the end, but starts with a light sweetness of malt, then moves to a watery nothingness, which precedes the ascending bitterness that tops off at a moderate level, just before the sourness. The finish is the worst part of the drink, especially since it tends to linger a bit.
Appropriately carbonated, and it makes it kinda filling and leaves a bloated feeling. Decently soft. As it should be for style.
This coulda' been worst. I choose not to wait long enough for it warm, I dare not give it that chance. Nothing I'd look for and well worth the cost for this can. One's enough.

I poured into a pint glass to two inches of white fluffy head. It is pale yellow and very clear. It smells sweet like all BMC's. There is hardly any taste. I get a slight bite from the carbonation. It is watery. Thanks to my buddy for leaving twenty of these in my fridge because I would have never bought this swill. It does go down like water though.

Natural Light has a very thick, white head and a clear, pale straw appearance, with a good amount of carbonation and a little bit of lacing left behind. The aroma is faint, sweet, and even eggy (but that aspect dissipated with the head). Taste is mild, bready, sweet, and it also has just the smallest amount of hop bite at the end. Mouth-feel is light and watery, and Natural Light finishes crisp, easy drinking, and refreshing. Overall, for light beer, it's alright.

Ah ha! The party couple left a few of these from the ol’ New Year Eve party – might as well pop one for a New Year Review:

Whoo, good grief, a lite straw pour with almost no heading is not a good start. Cooked veggies in the aroma, and almost no taste what-so-ever. Dry and unimpressive – but crap at $10 for a 30 pack, what the hell would ya expect?

Poured a very pale yellow color with moderate white puffy head that very quickly vanished. Smell is on the sweetish side, and not particularly enjoyable.Taste is very mild, non-offensive (because there is so little there) taste does not improve when it warms because some strange sweet notes begin to appear. Refreshing when ice cold, not very good cool. Drink it fast while its ice cold.

This was a beer that I used to drink very frequently in college. When my friends and I sampled the whole assortment of cheap beers, this was the one we settled in with as our most purchased variety. It was the most tolerable, easiest to drink cheap without "bad beer face",and produced the least amount of hangover effects. I have on occassions tried this beer over the 20 years since college and still find this beer in particular to be one of the easiest cheap beer to drink without any bad taste. I've tried Pabst a few times and struggle to finish them because it actually tastes "bad" flavor. Sure Natural Light lacks any strong flavors compared to a high-end IPA, Porter, Imperial Stout etc... but compared to its equivalent price-marked competitors its one of the best choices you can make.

come on now. This is a cheap beer intended for mass consumption. Its not meant to be the best beer ever. It is, however, not the worst beer ever either. I will definately take this beer for free from a friend whenever. I have it often. The appearance is a light straw yellow color with no head retention. Smell and taste don't offer much. Mouthfeel is overcarbonated. But is it drinkable and worth the money? yes.

24 oz. can from local gas station. Pours a near-clear color, almost as if it has a few drops of urine added for a slight yellow shade. Nose is really non-existent, not even something foul such as cooked vegetables is noted. Nothing. Really, there's no nose. On the palate this comes across like a soda-water, but with smaller bubbles. Barely any malt flavor whatsoever - just... just water. Drinkable, but only in the sense that water is drinkable. But this is like drinking water with something wrong with it. Bleh.

Pale yellow body, no head. Aroma? What aroma? Watery cabbage flavor with a touch of metallic bitterness. Thin, watery feel; dry finish.

Piss poor appearance, aroma like tap water, disagreeable taste for beer. Yep. This is a poor excuse for beer. I pity those who drink this swill in order to minimize calories. There are so many other fine tasting, low calorie beers out there. I just can't fathom why anyone would opt for this loser brew when there are plenty of tasty alternatives.

Can from a twelve pack of my roomates

First time trying this one as well as my last

Only thing to do with this is play games like beer pong and **** the dealer

Horrible aftertaste and stale smell

Only good thing is that has one more percentage of alcohol than most domestic light beers

There is a reason why this is eight dollars for a twenty four pack

Stay away from this if possible

No. How's that for a succinct review? This beer lacks any redeeming qualities whatsoever. Wait, I suppose that it could give sparkling water a run for its money. A very pale straw color with an odd grain aroma, and a subdued head. Very little flavor, just a faint note of hops at the finish and stinging carbonation.

Very clear yellow body with about two fingers of head. Head recedes quickly, leaving no residue.

Smells like dishwater. Eww.

Remember the smell? It tastes about the same but with a metallic flavor.

Thin, wattery, almost nothing in the mouth. Well carbonated at least.

You could pound a lot of these beers quickly, but only if you avoid tasting them.

To be quite honest, I haven't had this beer in a long, long time. However, I can assure you that the taste is seared into my taste buds and brain tissue as though a red hot brand had been applied to those areas.

The drink of choice amongst college students, primarily because a 24 pack could be had for the change found in most fraternity common area couches.

A weird corn/dirt aftertaste, carbonated to the hilt, and a mouthfeel and consistency that resembles water. So. Bad. Only the truly legendary Gluek Ice stands out more clear in my mind as an example of a terrible macro lager.

But, so many good memories. . .

This is a very thin beer with very little head. I smells like the aluminum can it came from. It also tastes of aluminum and metal; too much carbination. I have to drink these babies fast when it's the only options at a party. Not recomended unless you're intoxicated and playing beer pong. However, I guess it serves it's purpose.

A friend of mine brought this over, who was obviouslly trying to get as much brew for his buck as he could... 'Nuff said... This beer was an absolute bummer and a bore... At $2.99 for a six-pack, I guess it's a decent sample if you don't have too much dough, but for the average consumer, definitely not worth a try unless you're scrounging for coins trying to come up with enough change to buy anything to drink... I remember back in college, this was the beer of choice for most undergrads living on less than $50 bucks a week... If you're not absolutely broke, don't even bother...

A- Appearance is pale golden. Very little head on this one.
S- Husk, corn, faint hops.
T- Standard macro flavors. Corn, water, some DMS.
M- A little more substantial on tap, but still, it is too thin.
D- Made to be consumed by the litre. not a good beer by any means. Economy beer to the extreme.

The palest of yellows, this is also a pale reflection of what a beer should be. Tons of foam upon pouring that quickly fades to a thin cap that leaves surprisingly nice lacing. A faint aroma like cornflakes. No malt, no hops, no... anything! Alcoholic water. Weak. It tastes like unfulfilled dreams.

A - Light, pale gold with a light, white foamy and tall head.

S - Very minimal aroma. What is there is metallic and light grainy sweetness.

T - Watery with very faint malt. Most flavor is grain (corn mostly) and sweetness with it.

M - Really thin and watery. Light bodied, even light for a Macro.

D - Well it is very easy to drink (but so is water, right). I wouldn't necessarily want to drink many of these, but if I'm in a situation where I am drinking this; I will be drinking more than one.

Notes: Pretty much what is to be expected of a very cheap beer. Has its situations that it is used in, but there are probably better choices as far as Macros (for slightly more money).

Drank this straight from the can I was given (no i didn't buy it). Tastes metallic and grainy. Doesn't do a lot for the tastebuds. The carbonation is more overpowering than the flavor. It's just swill anyway, another I would say "don't buy" to.

22oz bottle for $1.49 at my local grocery. Poured into a pilsner glass. Pours a crystal clear palest of yellows. A big frothy white head rests on top. Decent retention; left little lace behind. Scents of grass, faint honey, and corn. The body is crisp and refreshing. Good carbonation level. Flavor is really sweet and thin. There is nothing to this "beer" at all in flavor. No hops, no bitterness, no malt. Just a sweet carbonated mess. Ugh. Pass.

The natty light. Don't expect anything but light from this guy. It shares all the great macro lager characteristics.

Pale yellow/piss color. Weak tan head.

Smell is grainy and yeasty.

Taste is very light. Some malts syrup mixed in with the grains and bitter hops.

Fell is light. Overly carbonated.

I will probably never drink this again. Even if it is free. Sorry Busch, but step it up... Yea right.

For the style, Natural Light represents fairly well. Unfortunately, the style is bland, terrible beer, and in that regard, Natty Light is still a bland, terrible beer.

I had out of a can while playing flip cup and a friends house...is there any other way?

While I don't even think it's worth going through, it slightly yellow tinted water with a skunky kind of scent.

It is so sour, skunk, it just is plain bad, unless your already ripped. I'm sure I'm not stating anything too ground breaking.

Well the only reason I'm drinking this tonight is because of beer pong and its wicked cheap

A - Straw color not much to look at

S - Corny earthy not so good

T - not so good

M - not so bad but its not good at the same time

D - Honestly I'd only drink it again for beer pong or some other stupid drinking game
