Appearance: It's a light orangish/amber color. Not a lot of head or lacing to speak of.
Smell: Smell is very mild, but there is some light spicing.
Taste: Decent pumpkin flavor with spices that don't overpower.
Mouthfeel: Pretty thin and watery.
Drinkability: Quite drinkable for a pumpkin ale, since the flavor is pleasant and one is banged over the head with spices.
Notes: I had this beer out of the bottle last year and couldn't stand it. I ended up having it on tap because the waitress at the bar said they had a new pumpkin ale on tap for a good price, but couldn't remember what brewery it was. I honestly would not have ordered it had I known it was Jack's. That said, I was pleasantly surprised when I went to look at the tap later, and ended up ordering a second one. I still wouldn't recommend it from the bottle, but it's definitely worth a try on tap if you enjoy most pumpkin ales.
Serving type: on-tap
