Can't believe I've reviewed over 150 beers and this is the first macro on my board. Oh well. Born-on date says Dec. 29, so it's less than two months old. Pour is a light brown, darkish red with a big malty off-white head that disappears a little too quickly. Aroma is solid, cocoa powder, kids' cereal, a bit of caramel and a hint of a nutty character in the background. Taste is good but a little thin, some cocoa and a burnt dark chocolate flavor that reminds me a little of the Taddy Porter. So this is a bit like Taddy Porter Lite. It's not quite as thick, but it's not watery by any stretch. Just a good, approachable brew.
This brew was a pleasant surprise. Quite solid and definitely quite sessionable.
