Found this at a Chicago area Jewel/Osco store on sale for $5.99 a 6 pack, so at that price I don't mind trying it. 12oz clear glass bottles with no freshness date to be found, which I thought was strange for a Bud product.

The bottle isn't the only thing clear about this beer. It pours a crystal clear pale yellow color that if it was any paler it would be water. With a hard pour you can get a 3 finger soapy looking white head out of it that will only last about 30 seconds and leave a decent amount of lacing. If you tilt the glass and pour slowly you get no head at all and no lacing.

Definite raspberry smell with the pomegranate not as strong. Nothing else is detectable.

This isn't very beer-like. It taste more like raspberry flavored seltzer water. There is also an unpleasant metallic taste to it. The overall flavor isn't that bad, but if you were hoping for something like a Belgian lambic, this definitely isn't it. Even the raspberry and pomegranate flavors don't taste like real fruit. It's probably just fruit flavoring. If there are any malts or hops in here I sure couldn't taste them.

The mouthfeel is as close to water as you can get without actually being water. Very light and lightly sweetened with a good dose of carbonation which does make it kind of refreshing and easy to drink. One word of warning however. Do not let this beer get anywhere near room temperature or it gets really awful. If you do want to try it, get it as cold as you can.

Light fruity beers are not for everyone. Personally, I can't stand hoppy bitter beers and that seems to be the trend with craft brewers in the US. I prefer lighter sweeter beers. Michelob's Pomegranate Rasberry beer has been my favorite staple beer for years! I love this beer! It's light, sweet and refreshing. Perfect for hot summer days. If I am camping or at a friend's BBQ and plan to be drinking for hours on end, this is the beer I bring. Most hard core beer snobs will cringe at this, but I love to add orange juice and make a beermosa with this beer. Like I said, this beer isn't for everyone and I expect many to turn their nose up at any beer than is light and sweet, but if this is the style your taste buds prefer you will enjoy it.

Sampled tonight on 5/25/14. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a vintage Michelob thumbprint glass goblet.

Pours a very light straw yellow in color with a very small fizzy white head. No lacing is seen to mention. The aroma is better than the taste and is of some sweet fruits. The taste is well...really bad! Like drinking a lightly flavored club soda or seltzer water. Way to much carbonation, and even more than other Bud products. Overall, I will not be drinking this one again!

A-very clear pale gold color with a white head that just vanishes
S-very sweet grainy pomegranate smell
T-kind of a grainy taste with the pomegranate coming throughout the beer
M-light body with a good amount of carbonation
O-okay beer that was not too sweet, and would be good for a hot summer day

A: Pours a crystal clear pale yellow in color with significant amounts of active visible carbonation and some faint notes of lemon yellow highlights. The beer has a three finger tall fizzy sudsy bright white head that quickly reduces to a medium sized patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light aromas of artificial raspberry and pomegranate, like you would expect from a candy... very light hints of grainy malts.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of slightly sweet grainy malts with some moderate flavors of artificial raspberry and hints of pomegranate. Overall this beer is not quite as sweet as I was expecting and there is a strange metallic/artificial flavor that persists after you finish. Light hints of bitterness which fades quickly.

M: Very light bodied with moderate to significant amounts of carbonation. Thin/watery.

O: Not overly offensive but not something that I would ever pick up again - the flavors and aromas are a little too artificial for me. Best served ice cold because the flavors did not improve as this beer warmed up during the drinking.
