Poured from the clear glass 12 oz. bottle into my straight sided glass tumbler. The appearance is quite light straw colored, and the smell is quite good, very fruity. The taste is exactly the same as the smell, fruity, with no hop or malt whatsoever. Mouthfeel is very light, and drinkability is good with very little heaviness or aftertaste at all.

Just a thought,

appearance: completely crystal clear, like pear or apple cider or somethin

smell: smells like that striped gum you had when you were a kid, not unpleasant really just doesnt smell like beer

taste: sort of tastes like beer at first it just tastes like a berry wine cooler then on the finish you get some malty rice/corn adjunct goodness

overall: this stuff sucks, no way about it please do not pay money for it, im trying someone elses out of curiosity but please dont waste you money

12 oz bottle received from my buddy Dyan in our latest trade. I've heard a lot of bad things about this one, so I was pretty excited to give it a shot.

Appearance: Pale yellowish color, not quite MGD 64 pale, but close enough. Pours with a surprisingly decent head, but it disappears almost instantly.

Smell: Alcopop all the way, this doesn't resemble beer in the slightest, nor does it have a good fruit aroma. Funky artificial berry is all I'm getting here... Smells a bit like fruity chewing gum.

Taste & mouthfeel: More beery than the aroma implies, a light and semi-sweet malt base is felt beneath the fruit, which is still rather dominant. I'm all for fruit beer, but it helps when the fruit tastes like actual fruit and not some kind of funky fruit extract, which is the case here. The mouthfeel is light as can be and somewhat overcarbonated.

Overall, not as bad as I was hoping. It's definitely bad, but I've had worse. Nice try, Dyan. I'll have to see about getting you some Amnesia IPA.

Overview: yet another "Frankenstein" Ultra beer: made of parts. Looks kinda like beer, tastes kinda like beer; but this ain't no beer.

It is like a "beverage" as in "malted beverage". Sticky sweet. Not as bad tasting as their Lime/Cactus or Orange/Grapefruit abominations, but not at all good.

Unless you like a brief "Pez candy" taste, it really has no taste. On a positive note, it is carbonated.

These Ultra "experiments" should never be recreated by mankind. Ever. There oughta be a law...

And I do believe that their original regular Ultra certainly does have a place on the great beer shelf of life.

Pours a extremely pale golden color. A fluffy two finger tall head perches itself for longer than expected ,and then leaves lots of lacing(probably from the sugary additives). This nose is sweet, not in a good way. Very artificial and reminiscent of sugary pixi-stix,good when your an adolescent, not good when they combine it with beer. The flavors are much the same. Quite offensive in my opinion, reminds me of watered down Clearly Canadian. Very thin and watery, though the carbonation is somewhat acceptable. The finish is of sticky artificial sweetener and candy corn. This is horrible...no wonder my girlfriend loves it.

Apperance: Yellowish with a small head.

Aroma: Fruits, Marsipan, Cherries. Very chemical and un-natural.

Flavor: Dr.Pepper mixed with a bit of water anyone ? Raspberry, Caramel, Artificial sweeteners.

Palate: Just dry and boring. Very sweet.

This is more like a soda than a beer and should be avoided.

Picked this one up cause I'm a sucker for novelty. Out of the bottle this beer was a pale gold color with a fizzy white head that was short lived. It did, however, retain a pure white soap-skim ring that laced tiny bubbles moderately. The aroma was sweet and all raspberry extract. The flavors were at first sweet, the fruit extracts hit me as decent but then it all went south. Stale grain and stale corn. No pomegranate flavor can be pulled out of the raspberry syrup that is stomping all over it. Hops and malt are quashed too. Mouthfeel is very fizzy and a little rough, the body light. To its only credit it is crisp but the aftertaste is unpleasant and metallic so even that's hard to enjoy. I always hate to fail a beer but this one deserves it.

12oz bottle into my Stone pint glass. I had this at a friend's birthday in May and it was the most ridiculously horrendous beer I'd had at the point. Had to try it again!

A: Light straw yellow with tremendous clarity and exceptional soda-like head - brilliantly fleeting and soapy white. Woohoo!

S: I'm calling BS on the advertising. This should be Michelob Ultra Raspberry Pomegranate, 'cos honestly, they pom is an after thought. Medicinally artificial raspberry flavor, I'd describe this as one-dimensional if "repulsive" wasn't an aroma description

T: Skunk light lager + artificial raspberry flavor + corn syrup + metallic finish. Need I say more?

M: Soda-like carbonation and horrendously light and watery. Cringe-worthy. Dry finish but it's metallic.

D: Nope, I ain't drinking any more!

I picked this one up when I made a sampler six pack because it looked interesting as I am a fan of (real) lambics.

A: Almost clear amber, like watered down apple juice

S: Distinct raspberry and pomegranate smell that is appealing, it also has almost a diet soda scent.

T: This is the most disgusting beer I have ever tasted, watery as hell, almost no juice flavor, practically no beer flavor, and it is offensive to the other beers that sit on the self next to it.

M: It honestly feels like you're drinking mineral water, and then you get a nasty aftertaste which I guess could be described as the beer flavor.

D: I somehow managed to choke this down, I would NEVER buy it again and I might ask for my money back. I honestly didn't hate regular Michelob Ultra, which isn't great in its own regrad, but this is a wine cooler trying to be a beer and it just fails miserably.

As a person who doesn't care for the majority of beers, and stick with the flavored/spiced/fruit beers, i was looking forwared to tasting this.

poured bright unnatural yellow, with a head that looked more like a soda than a beer.

smelled like artificial raspberries

tasted like a light, watered down beer and artificial raspberries, couldn't taste any pomegranate.

mouthfeel felt OK, a little more fizzy than average, but acceptable

not what i consider drinkable... as soon as i finished a bottle, i wased it down with a different beer or some soda, just to get that artifical taste out of my mouth.

Appearance is of the fizzy yellow beer vein, with a quickly fleeting head. Light specks of lacing left behind. Aroma tart raspberries of the artificial kind at that, smells like candy wheres the beer. Straight up carbonation in flavor with a raspberry syrupy flow, pretty much unbearable. Definitely brought into my home by friends, fizzy thin cloying mouthfeel no thanks. Drinkability this is the worst of the three at least the two citrus based versions were refreshing and no worse than a chill, Bud Light lime, or a Corona with a lime.

12 oz. bottle. Basically, I think this beer was made for 12 year old girls. Not that I'm mad about that... A friend's girl brought this to our last tasting. I had to try it. Poured a transparent yellow, fizzy white head. It basically tasted like fruity gas-water. Aroma and flavor was raspberry (all artificial). Very, very light on the palate, fizzy. I guess if I were in the desert and had to chose between this and camel piss...I'd chose this. Maybe

Appearance- It is a straw gold almost brass color with a weak white head and lace.

Smell- It has sort of a kool-aid like smell to it. The aroma is very sweet.

Taste- It has an overly fruity infused with a cheap pils taste.

Mouthfeel- Thin and watery.

Drinkability- It is a great beer for people who want to say they drink beer but don't or a training wheel beer.

Clear bottle as pictured, part of a make your own sixpack from a local grocery. Pours a clear, pale yellow body alive with active carbonation. Tiny white head quickly vanishes without lacing. Aroma is some kind of berry Pez candy, not a bad smell except for a beverage masquerading as a beer. Very light bodied, very thin actually. Seltzer water carbonation rules the palate, lightly flavored a liquid Pez candy or Jolly Rancher aspect. The artificial fruitiness isn't sickingly sweet, to its credit, but that's about the only thing to recommend it. This might make a good beginner beer for someone who has never had an alcoholic beverage, making me think this is marketed for underage drinkers. Give me some fruit syrup and seltzer water and I could produce something very similar in taste. This Ultra is very forgettable. A waste of money at any price.

My wife asked me in the grocery store: "Doesn't this look like it might be good?" I said no, but we bought it anyway. She doesn't ask for that much, so what the hell?

Pours a pee yellow color with a big noisy, fizzy, soda-like white head that disappears in a flash leaving nothing behind.
Smells like sweet artificial fruit flavoring and tastes much the same. Sugary pomegranate and rasberry flavor is about all there is here. A very weak malt presence hanging around somewhere in the back. This stuff doesn't qualify as beer in my opinion. It's more like a "flavored malt beverage" a la Zima. Starts off way overcarbonated and ends flat and watery.

It's fairly refreshing and not undrinkable, but it ain't beer. Suffice it to say that I wouldn't recommend this to any beer lover.

Left in my fridge after a party. Thanks so much, Stephanie. :(

Light gold clear body with no head whatsoever. No lacing. But, pretty average for the style nonetheless.

Huge Pomegranate and Raspberry aroma. That's it. It smells like kool-aid. It's not a bad smell, so I gave it a two. Just doesn't smell anything like beer.

If you really try, you get a bit of malt in the back of your throat on the aftertaste, but other than that, all fruit. Not bad tasting, just doesn't taste like beer.

Very, very thin mouthfeel and bitingly high carbonation. Definitely not a good combination.

I can see where some people (who don't like the taste of beer) would drink this. But I really can't believe it's on this site. Not good at all unless you're looking for alcoholic fruit punch.

A - Basic yellow-gold lager color, with an ephemeral fizzy head. Gather ye foam-buds while ye may, because this head ain't stickin' around for long.

S - Fruity Pebbles, Fruit Loops, and Flintstones chewable vitamins.

T - Fruity Pebbles halved with grape-nuts. The fruitiness is mediated by a husky graininess that actually helps keep this one together. The graininess keeps it on the beer side, and off of the malternative or winecooler side (the darkside IMO).

M - Thin and fizzy. Quenching, but nothing special.

D - Not as bad as I anticipated, actually. This is probably my favorite of the Michelob Ultra fruity beer series. This, along with Lime Cactus and Tuscan Orange or Apricot or whatever is much better than the regular Michelob Ultra, which is tasteless IMO.

Appearance: Pours a clear, light yellow body with a tiny, and I do mean tiny, white head.

Smell: 75% raspberries, 25% pomegranates, but 100% artificial.

Taste: About the same for the taste, though, mercifully, it isn't too sweet. Vaguest hint of grain beneath the flavoring. Ultra fake through to the very end of this thing.

Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium-low carbonation.

Drinkability: Their Tuscan Orange was acceptable, but this, however, was so intensely artificial in flavor as to be unpleasant.

Apart from the "lime in the Corona" this is my first of the fruit beers. Should have been a little wary when all the girls went crazy for it. Poured about a half-inch head, faded in 15 seconds. Some lacing that lasted a bit. Very light. Could definitely smell the pom. rasberry fruits. Didn't taste like a beer at all. Rather, it resembled a good fruit drink gone a little sour. Was extremely easy to drink, but don't plan on going with what's easy in the future.

Oh, how can I describe this beer. I tried all three of Michelob's fruit beers in a row, and how I wish I could forget the experience.

This was a scary, yellow-colored beer that resembled nothing so much as a carbonated whiz. There was less than a half finger head, and it was loud, fast, and fizzy, like a soda pop.

Aroma was of fragrant raspberries, almost floral, but there was no malt character at all (thank God).

Taste was like flat raspberry seltzer water. Nothing else. Wasn't at all like a beer.

Mouthfeel was fizzy and thin.

Drinkability... no. Just... no. Avoid it.

I used to be into big beers... but my palate has changed over the years. Now I enjoy light, refreshing fruit beers. Especially after a long bike ride.

This brew is delicious! I'll be drinking many more this summer. It's just as tasty as other fruit beers, but not as heavy!

Pours a three finger white head that vanishes in a minute and leaves no lace. Clear ugly greenish amber color. strong carbonation and light bodied. Sweet raspberry nose. Flavor is sweet raspberry, squeaky clean finish. Good session beer for the non-beer drinker, nothing here for the serious beer drinker. I really expected this to be nasty, but it actually suffers from the opposite problem: it's quite thin and watery. But even that has its upsides; though relatively flavorless, it's pretty drinkable, and the mild palate features light fruit flavors that aren't at all cloying.
It's actually kinda refreshing...

It's nothing special, and really doesn't offer a lot of flavor, but it's light and balanced, and easy enough to suck back.

Not recommended, though....

This was free at a recent marathon runner's expo. Normally, the best tasting beer is free beer, but that does not really apply to this beer. Poured a pale, translucent gold with a smallish wispy head. Head quickly disappears. Pomegranate raspberry highlights the nose and taste of this brew, both vying for your attention. Really light, ultra light on taste. Mostly just overcarbonation and alcohol is all you notice. Would drink again if free, but doubtful that I'd ever purposely purchase this one.

Saw a single bottle of this and thought what the hell, and gave it a shot.

Pours out light straw with a foamy white head that drops to a thick ring around the glass.

Smell. A very potent fruity aroma, tons of rasberry comes through as i can smell it a foot away. Smells much like a soda (like others had said) and really reminds me of a sweet cough syrup or those luten (sp?) cough drops.

Taste. lol, its interesting. The aroma and the taste doesnt exactly add up as the smell is dominant rasberry, but the taste is lacking a lot of flavor. The rasberry and pomigranate bitterness does come through though, and with the light flavor and ample carbonation, reminds me of mineral water flavored with rasberry. Aftertaste has an artificial sweetner flavor to it and the fruits disappear quickly.

Overall, I'm not going to knock this just because it is a lite fruit beer from michelob. As far as advertising what it is and focused on people who would normally buy this, i think they did a decent job (though they say ultra but it has over 100 calories and 6 grams of carbs...sounds more like a solid light beer :) I wouldnt want to drink more than one of these at a time, but the light flavor and the mild fruity sweetness and lack of bitterness makes this an easy chugger after cutting the grass. Not one i would stamp my approval on, but not one i would really cut down.
