Thanks to woodychandler for the trade. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has an extreamly pale yellow color with virtually no head. Smell is of sweet limes. Taste is rather mild, some sour limes, a slight bitterness at the finish. Feels light in the mouth and has good drinkability. Overall there is nothing special about this beer.

from notes, this one was brought up to the cabin by my father in law in a mixed 12 pack of michelob brews. served cold and me and my brother in law kicked these back on the deck on night.

pours the lightest possible color i think it could with a big fizzy head of white that dissipates as fast as it comes through. really just not a good looking beer at all, more like some whacked out wine cooler. aroma is sickening with over the top artificial lime that just seems to try and mask the wet hay and rotten grains and corn that are the underlying markers. flavor goes no where as the fake ice pop like flavor just masks corn and rice and honesty i do not know who would be drinking this.

overall one of the worst i have ever had, i am sorry to have been a part of this one.

A- Pale yellow and transparant, effervecent and bubbly, thin white head that disappears quickly. No lace.

S- Like limes, with a faint hint of malt. I like lime so I boosted it from not 2.5 to 3.0.

T- Light fizzy water with lime. Not sure what cactus tastes like, but it must taste like water. Little skunk beneath it all.

M- Light, refreshing, and effervescent.

D- The lime flavor keeps this from total failure, but it is watery and fizzy. Would be easy to drink, but effervescents and artificial flavors makes me queezy.

pours a golden color with a rather large head. Actually bought it because its past its drink by age and was only ten bucks for a case. You can taste primarily just lime and i have no clue what cactus tastes like but this is what I'd imagine it to taste like. It is super easy to drink at 4.0 alcohol and is a nice refreshing beer after a long day at work or a long workout or a pickup game of football basketball or baseball. Its by far the best ultra light style beer I've had.

s: crisp sweet/sour aroma. there is very little hop bitterness at best

t: sweet/sour taste with no hop bitterness

m: light bodied beer with a lot of carbontion

overall, really is this beer? My fiance bought it so i drank one, but never again

Pours a pretty golden color with a thick white head and a little bit of lacing. Smells of lime and light beer: like sweetness and only the faintest hop aroma. Tastes very sweet with hints of citrus lime. A little faint hops in there. Mouthfeel is thin and watery. Drinkability is not the best.

Poured from bottle,

A- typical light beer in color, not much head.

S- Smells exactly like a lime popcicle, like the ones you used to eat as a kid in the plasic.

T- Tastes like watered down lime juice. No taste on the backend at all, like drinking water.

M- Not much happening, reminds me of drinking sprite.

D- I guess it serves it's purpose as "chick beer" because I can't find a single beer element in this beverage. It's like they took Bud Light Lime and added 50% water to it.

A- very pale yellowish

S- My girlfriend says keystone with lime.... But I have to disagree, maybe my sense of smell is off, but I smell lime.

T- like a light beer with lime, but a bit better than any I have had thusfar.

M- a little fizzy and uneventful

D- Not the best beer, but I like it.

Upon seeing the spread of fruit flavored Michelob Ultra ticks, I naturally assumed this would be the worst. Cactus has an interesting flavor and lime, well, you know...

A: The pour is, once again, pale yellow with a head that leaves before it has a chance to say hello.

S: The lime is surprisingly in check in this beer, and the cactus aroma is subtle as well. This sort of has a 7-Up/Sprite syrup aroma to it (not the soda, just the syrup), with some cactus added for whatever reason.

T: The cactus is probably the most noticeable flavor here, but the limes are there. It's more of a lime peel/zest sort of flavor, rather than the fake lime juice I was expecting.

M: The body is light and the carbonation is on the high side, but it's not as overdone as the other flavors.

D: As awful as it might be to some people to say/admit, this wasn't really all that bad. I don't know how often I'd want to drink this, but it tasted pretty decent.

look: 2 | smell: 2.5 | taste: 1.5 | feel: 1.5 | overall: 1.5

Appearance: Straw yellow, consumed straight from the bottle.

Smell: Mostly lime with a hint of the underlying lager.

Taste: In a direct comparison to Bud Light lime this Michelob product goes lighter on the lime flavoring allowing the untra light adjunct lager to shine through which isn't necessarily a good thing.

Mouthfeel: Fizzy water.

Drinkability: If I'm looking for something to drink on a hot summer day on the lake it may or may not include a lime, but if I wanted a lime beer, this one wouldn't be the one. Way too light, watery and not enough lime.

Thanks to travita for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours a clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the lime with a little salt. It smells like a margarita. The flavor is heavy on the lime with a tad bit of sweetness. Light mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not terrible, but not something I wish to try again.

A: The typical light to golden yellow color of most American Light Lagers. I drank this right out of the bottle - about half a finger of fizzy white head persisted for most of the bottle.

S: Some corn and malty sweetness mixed with lime. Macro lager with lime in it - imagine that!

T: Ya' know, this doesn't taste too bad. It's far from a fine sipping brew, but somewhat tasty and refreshing. The lime flavor is predominate, but not overpowering. The typical sweet corn and malts of macro lagers are also present.

M: Kind of like lime flavored seltzer water - thin and fizzy, but somewhat crisp.

D: I was kind of thirsty and just looking for something to throwback quickly. I grabbed this out of the fridge and it did the trick. As far as American Light lagers go, this one is more than bearable and pleasantly drinkable. A good picnic beer that you don't have to feel bad about drinking straight from the bottle.

So my girlfriend really wanted to try this beer, so I broke down and grabbed a six of this. I decided "what the hell, why not try one?"

A: Pours a light yellow with two fingers of bone-white head that quickly fade. Minimal lacing.

S: Lime and some corn and grains fills the nose. It doesn't smell overpowering, yet smells like it actually might taste okay for a light lager.

T: For the style, this actually isn't bad...in fact...this actually tastes good. There is not an overpowering amount of lime...and it actually tastes like I put a lime in a beer...doesn't taste artificial. Who knows if it is or not. I tastes a slight bit of lime that fades into a mild flavor of grains and corn. Finishes very crisp and clean.

M: Carbonation is moderate, yet it feels like club soda and feels very much like water.

D: If you're into this style of beer, you can pound these brews all night. 4.2% ABV Isn't bad...AND ONLY 95 CALORIES!

I honestly believe this is the best of the "With Lime" beers out there. AB, thank you for actually doing something right.

Poured from 12oz bottle.

A- Poured a clear yellow color...almost fake looking. One finger white head dies almost as soon as it got there. No lacing on the glass.

S- Some lime aroma of course but mixed into a sweet corny grainy malt body. Take a BMC add lime to it and it smells like this beer.

T- This is not overbearing in the lime flavor. Sweet flavor overall that I can't put my finger on. Tastes like Mich Ultra with lime added for light flavoring. Really nothing much else.

M- Light mouthfeel. Carbonation is high for the style but not the company. Crisp and clean tasting. Sweetness left on the palate and in the aftertaste both.

D- This beer is well....drinkable. I don't care for the flavor of it but the low ABV and the lack of any real flavor gives it amazing drinkability. Oh Michelob you make me smile once again with your mastermind.

12 oz bottle drank directly from the bottle at a block party.

A: Not much to go by here it is crystal clear & yellow, looks like beer so we will call it average.

S: Sour citrus (Limey) smell flying out of the bottle with a sweet corniness.

T: It tastes like lemon lime sweet tart candy.

M: Lots of carbonation.

D: Look the ABV is low and you can drink it. It is not the worst thing I've ever drank.

Drank directly from the bottle. Bright yellow color. Very crisp lime flavor and some other sweet flavors also. This beer is very easy to drink and is very refreshing on a warm spring day. Much better choice than bud lime or even Corona. This beer is pairing nicely with some homeade buffalo chicken and greek salad.

This was left here by my macro drinking friend when he came over my place for the Super Bowl. I thought I'd try one before pouring it out.

Poured from a 12oz. clear glass bottle into a pint glass.

The color is a crystal clear yellow that has very little head at first and is gone before I can really get to the point of describing it. No lacing.

The smell is of lime and some CO2. It has a bit of a lemon soda flavor but no lemon.

The taste is is of lime but not much of anything else. I really wanted to say there was really more flavor than that but I couldn't really say there was any bitter hop flavor or any hints of malt.

The feel of the beer is very easy. It was pretty crisp and was not very flavorful. The lime just points out and lets itself be known but beyond that here really isn't a lot to speak of.

Stuck at a party with nothing else to drink but a Michelob Ultra Sampler and the first thing i thought of was that i've never reviewed these beers before. Score!

Fizzy neon yellowy green in color. Smell is of lime juice and sugar. Taste is a horrible, cloying punch of sugary limeade. No notes of beer at all except the carbonation. I can barely finnish this guy and as it warms it tastes worse and worse. This is pretty much limeade with a touch of unnoticable alcohol.

A bottle of Michelob Ultra Lime Cactus and an entire case of Miller Chill are my left-over prizes from New Years Eve.

The body is a completely translucent golden-yellow with about two fingers of white head that disappear quickly but leave a little bit of lacing behind.

The aroma surprises me because it isn't terrible; it smells a lot like a margarita. It doesn't have any malt, hops, yeast, or any other beer ingrediant in the aroma, but it doesn't suck and it is interesting, so I won't call it terrible.

This doesn't taste anything like beer. There is lime and a touch of salt. I don't know if there is any cactus or not, but I can't tell if there is. There definitelty isn't anything that tastes like beer though. Michelob Ultra Cactus Lime doesn't really taste like a margarita like the aroma might suggest; in fact it is rather weak and watered down overall.

Thin, light, highly carbonated. It as close as beer gets to drinking air.

You just burned a couple thousand calories on the bike. Why put them back on with a surly stout or pretentious porter? This beer is neither. Michelob makes honest, quality beers for hard working Americans. The Ultra Lime Cactus is definitely their pinnacle brew; a true epiphany in a bottle. Even tastier than the Pom Wheat. Keeping with the theme of simplicity and American pride, the bottle is twist-off which makes it even easier to quaff post-ride. My hands are sensitive and tender after a long excursion on the bicycle; I'm told Michelob's caps are tightened to a precise 2.8n/m which makes them easy to twist off, but ensures maximum oxygen barrier capacity. No detail is ignored. Step back and take a good look: From the light blocking clear bottles to the Neuvo-Americano label design, the true treasure is all around -- not just in the brew. The Ultra Lime Cactus (or ULC as I call it) is an experience not to be rushed.

The beer pours a pale yellow color with a thin, fizzy white head that quickly fades to spotty lacing. The aroma is average. It has a faint pilsner malt scent along with a crisp lime aroma. It's light and refreshing. The taste is average as well. It has a light and watery pilsner malt and adjunct flavor that's crisp and clean with a nice lime character. It's easily quaffable on a hot day. The mouthfeel is decent. It is a low bodied beer with good carbonation. This is a typical light lager with a nice lime taste. This would be a fine choice in the hot weather.

Pours a clear straw color with a fluffy white head that fades down to nothing. Smells ok, sort of like a lime girly lotion or something, definitely not like a beer, still not an awful smell. The taste is sweet lime, that's about it. Sort of like drinking lime water without the bitter lime citrus bite. Mouthfeel is ok and you could drink these pretty much all day long.

Pours a light golden color with no head into my pint glass. Doesn't look too appealing.

Aroma is full of lime, which reminds me more of lime jello. I have no idea what cactus is supposed to smell like.

Taste is full of lime upfront that feels like lime seltzer. It gives way to a grainy light lager underneath. Somewhat sweet and bland. Hardly drinkable.

Mouthfeel is full of lingering lime seltzer and grainy light lager. Bland.

Absolutely avoid this like the plague. It reminds me that fruit beers can be horrible if poorly done and it's an example of that.

A: A strange light yellow. Almost like a sparkling wine. Lots of carbonation, decent head with tight bubble structure, but no lacing in the glass really.

S: Smells like "sweet tarts" candy

T: Artificial tasting citrus, sour bite on the palate. Barely recognizable as beer.

M: Surprisingly light and delightfully bubbly. Nice tingles on the tongue, very mild and short lived bitterness in the aftertaste.

D: Despite it being at the far end of the bell curve for what qualifies as beer, this stuff is quite drinkable if you don't really care about "real" beer.

Overall: Well, I can say I'd buy it for a frat party or a softball game or something where lots of distractions would keep me from enjoying a good beer, and where other people may enjoy a new flavor. won't be found in my beer-humidor though.

First off, let me just say that I did not buy this for myself (thankfully). I was able to try it for free at my in-laws house, and I think free was too high a price.

This isn't beer. At all. It looks yellow, but it doesn't smell like beer. It tastes like lime soda. I've had other lime-flavored "beers" and the only one worse is bud light lime. Clearly a grab at the wine-cooler crowd.

Save your $$ for something else.
