Brewed using the finest barley malt, select grains, all-imported hops and a pure-cultured yeast strain. The special choice of grains combined with the extended mashing process produces a smooth, refreshing beer with fewer carbohydrates.

My first inclination is to scoff at this beer, however, it's not bad (freshness is important with this one though). It's not a weak hops tea like most AAL light beer. There's a bit of artificial sweet flavor, even some malt flavor, but there's no crispness or mouth feel. It doesn't really go with the Michelob brand name, though it's been years since I've seen the original (and I miss it). It's a decent beer with food if you're at a place with a bad beer selection, or if you're trying to shed some calories. But, there's not enough flavor to bring you back for a second or third. Cynically, the problem for this beer, like many others, during these times, is that there's no value here. You're not getting anything for your money. Consider it Dasani for adults.

Pours from the can a very light straw yellow, crystal clear, 5 second quarter-inch head that shrinks to a thin ring; streaks of lacing; no visible carbonation. Nose has nothing but a metallic twinge at first. As it warms, the aromas become a little savory (caramelized onion?). Maybe a pear or green apple. Straw, lemon, cleanser. Taste is less expressive. White grape, sweet corn, pineapple gummy bears. Very little grain character; tastes very washed out; nothing too off, however. Feel is very light with sharp and satisfying carbonation. Absence of flavor is superior to off flavor.

I have no strong opinions on McUltras. I'd drink it.

This beer might be the best joke sold by the yellow bellies in St Louis. Typical, typical, typical of every ab inbev beer. No lacing, obnoxiously sweet smell from their yeast. Sweet taste to follow through. Beer for self conscious, vanity driven, soulless ghouls... Or folks who pretend to be speed trialing through residential neighborhoods with a full cyclist uniform on.

From a bottle. Pale golden color. Sweet corn aroma. Light body with strong carbonation. Sweet corn flavor with a slight floral bitterness. Not terrible, but nothing special either. Does not warm up well.

My dad drank Michelob in the sixties. He called it a premium beer. I turned 21 in 1976, but first drank Michelob in 1974 as the drinking age was 19 in Illinois at that time. It was more expensive yes, but it tasted better than any other American beer to me. What became of that beer "Michelob Lager"? Michelob Ultra lacks taste as well as calories. It's not worth sacrificing the taste to stoop to this beer and pretend it is a satisfying beer. I cannot find Michelob Lager anywhere here in Western Washington. I miss it.

The least exciting beer I’ve tried to date, it’s not bad, it’s not good, it’s barely anything other than sad water. Just get some Natty Light or Miller Lite instead.

This beer is like a seltzer water with a hint of beer flavoring.

Nose is sweet corn with the slightest hint of noble hops.
Taste is much the same. Light sweet corn, a bit grainy, very subtle hop character.
No terrible for what it is. Would certainly choose this over bud light.
Not as good as Miller lite or high life.
Clean, dry finish. Drinking this after a run and it’s quite refreshing.

All that said - drink it quickly. Does not warm up well :)

No color, no smell, tastes like someone added a splash of beer to carbonated water. Would rather drink anything else over this.
