Did not and would not pay for this beer, leftovers from a friend (girl) from a party we hosted...
The appearence I will mark at average, despite the piss golden color from the pour the medium-small white head rentained quite well, also there was a few signs of lacing with a decent effect, not a bad start... however, the smell I tried to find something and it smelled like a few kernels of corn, what a joke.
No joke, this beer has little to no taste to this, it's a litter version of Bud Light's beer flavored water. The mouthfeel wasn't good, the aftertaste was non-existant and my mouth just was not happy. The drinkability is good from a standpoint that you can drink these down easily and it's easy to drink, but that doesn;t prove to be good enough when your beer has little-to-no taste, therefore I would not have another, I will drink a locally brewed Christian Moerlein as my safety beer, same price and all...
Final Thought: I apologized to my taste buds, and I'm not joking about this!

Got this one on tap during happy hour- it was 1/2 off, and I thought I'd give it a try. Without a doubt, one of the worst beers I've had.
Had a decent appearance- light golden yellow, semi-transparent. It had a short-lived small head and no lacing.
Smell- almost none. Very faint trace of grassy wheat.
Taste- very watery. Could hardly taste the beer, it was more like carbonated water than anything. Pretty disgusting. A faint bitterness, and somewhat grassy corn. Made me want to gag towards the end of the glass.
Mouthfeel- Thin, watery, overcarbonated. Not much there.
Overall- I tried it, now I know. Probably won't drink again unless I get it free somewhere.

Some folks either hate this beer with a passion or find it surprisingly pleasant. After a long night at work, I fall into the second category. I can always have an Ultra without regret and I've got to say its probably one of the best light beers for me, and only second in line (next to Budweiser Select Original) for the best of the featherweight beers (below 100 calories).
Smell - metallic canned sweet corn, moldy grains. A second whiff yields grapes and hints of lime.
Taste - not great, not memorable... but refreshing. On the right occasion this beer really does hit the spot. Good flavor. Zero bitterness, if thats your thing. Some metallic fruit with wheat cracker, seltzer.
Mouthfeel - carbonated and fizzy. No awards here.
Overall - In the "big picture", when you consider the world of beers, this beer falls flat. However, for its category, and what it's made to do it does pretty well - a super low calorie, low-carb, less filling beer with a decent flavor that doesn't taste like cornbread water. It's one of the better "light" beers, ranking above Bud, Miller, Coors Light, and right up there with Michelob Golden Draft Light in my book. It's less sour than Michelob Golden Light, so ill give it that. There's never an occasion where I'd turn down an Ultra, if something better weren't available.
If you're looking for a world class beer or even a "good" beer steer clear of this like a plague. If you don't mind a light, refreshing after-work-destress beer, you just might find what you're looking for here.
