Pours VERY pale. Paler even than ginger ale. About 1/4 inch of head that lasts a couple seconds. No lacing.

Smell is on par with carbon monoxide or air. That is to say, none.

Taste is bland, but not entirely flavorless. Sweet, but no bitterness to speak of.

Has the mouthfeel of soda.

Drinkability is the highlight here. Could easily down a 12 of these.

Not much to say. This alleged "beer" is slightly more tasteful than a Coors Light, or a glass of water (aren't they the same thing?)

I agree with another reviewer: it's a great beer for your girlfriend, or for a night of Poker where you want to knock back a few and not really get too filled up.

honestly I'd rather drink Rolling Rock in that situation, but if your local store doesn't support Old LaTrobe then this is the one to buy.

faced with this choice in a cooler at a block party this summer I gladly chose the Michelob Ultra:

Heineken, Bud, Bud Light, Bud Select, and Michelob Ultra.

Looks great, but not a lot of taste very watery but very drinkable and pretty much everyone will drink it.

Got a sixer of this just for something to do. Pours ultra pale, like watered down bud light. Taste is non-existent. I'm not a big fan of this low-carb fad that's sweeping the beer industry, but if you are gonna hop on that bandwagon, grab some Aspen Edge, it's smoother and less offensive..

EEEKS!

This was BEER?

The only tip-off was the word 'Beer' on the label. Low carbs equals no taste, right?

I'm sure that Ultra serves the purpose for those drinkers who are restricting carb intake, (which is why I tried it in the first place), but the result was so unsatisfying that the carb investment in a much better-tasting brew would be worth considering.

Poured out a very pale yellow with little to no head. Taste and mouthfeel were closer to water than to any type of malted beverage. Very thin taste. Hops? Yeah, right... nowhere to be found.

If offered a choice between Ultra and a bottle of water, I'd choose the water every time.

My advice? Stay away, unless you carb watchers are desperate for a beer-flavored beverage.

This is one of those beers that I've had once and did not have it again. It really has not taste or enticing aroma. The look of it is also not impressive. I do not condone drinking this beer unless you are a true weakling. Drink a real beer instead.

Embarrassingly, I've tried this shit. What a pitiful excuse for a "beer". Low carb beer? It's worse than decaf coffee. It's worse than sugar-free candy. It's even worse than non-alcoholic beer. It's like seltzer water that got left for 20 years in a septic tank. Nasty shit. Atkins people are going to be the death of modern society.
