12 ounce bottle out of morbid curiosity

Pours a crystal clear dehydrated urine yellow with a thin white head. Dissolves into nothingness.

Plenty of lime juice, and not too much else. Pretty much smells like the lime you'd find yourself jamming into a Corona in a futile attempt to make it more drinkable.

Starts off with your typical corn adjunct notes, which is quickly smashed into oblivion by an avalanche of lime juice. Not really like an actual fruit, but more of an additive to the watery, near flavorless profile. Finishes a bit tangy with more, you guessed it, lime.

Thin body, high carbonation, watery and light on the tongue. Pretty much what the name implies, although it definitely doesn't help.

Poured from a 12 ounce clear glass bottle into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a clear pale straw yellow with a 1 finger foamy snow white head. Surprisingly decent lacing.

Smell: Lime juice. That's all you can smell. Reminds me of the aroma I would get when I used to squeeze a lime into a Corona. Not a good thing.

Taste: Lime juice dominates throughout. There are elements of cheap adjunct lager underneath, but the only thing I'm thinking is lime. I must say, it tastes a little better than what I remember Corona and lime tasting like. Yes, it's an improvement, but it's still not any good. On a positive note, the lime does taste natural and not artificial so I'll give them a few points for that.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied with a high amount of prickly carbonation. Doesn't feel too watery for a light beer. Goes down smooth.

Drinkability: Decent drinkability. If you like lime, you should have no problem pounding several of these. I'm not a huge lime fan, but I could see myself drinking a few on a hot camping or beach trip.

Overall: For what it is, it's not bad. Unfortunately, what it is is a crappy adjunct light lager with lime juice added to mask the terrible flavor. I'm rating it as a Light Lager and as a Light Lager it falls way short. You don't really get any "beer" flavors as it's totally overpowered by lime juice. The lime juice tastes natural, but I'm not looking for my beer to taste like limes. I always say, if you need a lime to cover up the taste of your beer, you should be drinking a different beer. I would avoid this one.

Super pale yellow produces a fluffy snow white head that dissipates immediately. Smell is what I would call "Sprite/radler". By far the smell is the best thing about it. Rather fruity/ citrusy. Very soda poppy. Taste is basically a dry lime soda and/or Alka Seltzer with a slight beer finish and aftertaste. No cloying sweetness left over on the palate. Mouthfeel is super thin like a radler and refreshing/ bubbly. As easy as this should be to drink, something about it is vaguely nauseating. I can't imagine having more than one, although that is certainly not their intention. It tastes very artificial. Not at all like a beer with REAL lime in it.

Poured from a bottle. Pours a clear color with a hint of yellow. Very thin white head, actually almost no head at all. Very strong smell of lime with a bit of wheat if you bury your nose inside the glass. No mouth taste really there just kind of feels like water. Tastes very strong of lime pretty much over powering the beer. Really no taste of beer until the after taste. Overall I think its a plan to cover up a shitty beer with the taste of lime. Not impressed.

From bottle no. 11167BK53. Sampled on August 2, 2011. Yellow pour a quick fizzy white head. Aromas of lime edging out the thin hoppiness. Light body. Loads of lime in the flavor with a toned down grain and a whisp of hops. This epitomizes the kind of thing you might like to have on a hot day if you don't want the flavor of beer.

Bud Light Lime is like many of the other light beers that have a hint of fruit added to attract the female populous. Bud Light Lime is not bad....certainly drinkable on a hot day. The color is yellow with good carbonation that translates to a white head that dissapates quickly. This beer have good lime aroma. The taste is Bud Light with lime. or Grain and lime if you prefer. The mouthfeel is very light and easy drinking.

A: Very, very pale yellow inside of its clear bottle. Almost like very watered down lemonade.

S: Lime. Not just a hint of lime; there is no actual beer smell to be found.

T: Lime. As with the nose, beer is not the primary characteristic here. No real malt characteristics. No hops. Just overwhelmingly lime.

M: Light & fizzy.

O: I'd rather have a Mike's Hard Lemonade simply because that isn't trying to masquerade as a beer. There's just nothing beer-like about Bud Lime. Even Thomas Hooker's Watermelon Ale had some actual taste to it besides fruit. And I love Sam Adams Cherry Wheat because it, y'know, tastes like wheat, despite the prominent cherry presence.

If you're looking for a beer, go elsewhere. If you want a seriously lime-flavored drink, limes are like 4/$1 and limeade is easy to make.

Late one night my buddy gave me the choice of some straggler Bud Light Lime bottles, or no beer at all. Suddenly Bud Light Lime doesn't sound so bad.

The dull golden body has a huge crown of dirty white foam on it, but the head disappears quickly and doesn't leave anything behind.

Smells like lime juice. That's not so bad.

It mostly tastes like lime juice. Underneath the lime juice a little bit of plastic-tasting bud light rears its ugly head, but it isn't too powerful. Thank god this tastes like lime juice instead of what the people at AB call “Light Beer.”

Light, fizzy, blah.

It gets a little bit sweet after a while, and although I never see myself trying this again, I didn't hate it. For the price, however, you could get a case of beer that is actually good, so this is a failure.

A - Straw colored with a quickly thinning bright white head and lots of bubbles.

S - Lots of lime, grass, can't smell any malt through the lime.

T - A lot of lime hits you and then you get a bit of wet grass and a little bit of malt. Too much lime for me.

M - Lots of nice bubbles and light body, very drinkable on a hot day.

O - It's not horrendous but I would rather but a real lime in my own bud. They put too much lime in it so you can barely taste any other flavors.

Reviewed from notes.

Clear light yellow with a small white fizzy head with poor retention and no lacing. The aroma has artificial lime flavoring, not much else.

The taste also has artificial limes. Light bodied, over carbonated, and pretty bad. Avoid. Thankfully I got this as a freebie at a get together. I would have hated to pay for this.

This product is awesome! I build tables for a living and this device always keeps my tables level. Just pour out the first couple ounces and sit it on a table to find out. The clear yellow/orange liquid is highly visible in low light so you'll always know how uneven your table is. I tried drinking it once but all the bubbles reminded me of the time I was force fed pee-soap.

As a beverage, this product falls somewhere in-between Natural light and Corona. It's hard to describe the distinct lack of flavor masked by a hint of artificial lime/dead beaver, but--oh wait, I just did.

Overall, this is just another gimmick beer. Support micro-brews or better brews by the bigger companies.

Looks a very pale, watery golden color, smells very strongly of lime. Tastes almost like a soda... very little beer flavor detected. The lime is definitely the dominant flavor up front, finishes with a wheat/cereal flavor. Interesting... definitely better than bud light because the skunk flavor is masked with the lime, but I can hardly call this a beer. I suppose it has it’s purpose poolside or at a BBQ, but I would prefer something else otherwise.

Its been over a year since I first saw this beer being sold in my store and until just now I figured what the hell i'll look in to it.
24oz. can poured into a pilsner glass vigorously.

A- Very pale straw yellow fluid that revels a loose inch of bubbly white head that falls to nothing just like the lacing, nothing. Spritzy carbonation sparkles.

S- Smell is well... limes and lots of them! If any a hint of sweet malts and thats pushing it.

T-M- Ice cold this taste like a overly lime Mexican beer upfront but with more observations on the flavors it becomes appearent that this is but a bud light with a massive dose of artifical lime bite. To me this beer taste like fruit loops cereal. Cereal malts, artifical fruit flavor and sugar is all I taste.
Mouthfeel is slick with moderate carbonation bursting the "fruit loop" flavors in all directions.

All and all there is a time and place for a beer like this i just haven't found it yet... cheers!

From a can into a pint glass, clear pale yellow with a hint of green and moderate carbonation streams. One finger of fizzy white foam, quick fade. Nose is pleasant with a sweet natural lime aroma and not much else. Surprisingly the nose actually smells of lime and not artificial flavoring. It doesn’t smell like beer, but it doesn’t smell like a laboratory either. Tastes of pleasant lime with hints of bread, grass, and a faintly bitter finish. Almost beer-like. In the mouth, it’s lightly carbonated, watery, and quenching.

Overall: Surprisingly inoffensive. Not very beer-like; more like seltzer with a twist. Miles better than similar “lime flavored malt drinks.” I wouldn’t seek another out, but wouldn’t turn one down if offered.

12oz can served in a standard shaker pint. a leftover from a cookout.

pours a clear, light golden tone while yielding a very short-lived spritzy head; no lacing.

nose is dominated by lime flavoring; some grainy notes in the background and not a whole lot else.

flavor follows the nose: lime, lime, grain, lime. not a drainpour, but not especially tasty. light bodied mouthfeel with above average carbonation.

overall this is definitely not the devil's spawn that the beer geek community would have you believe... it's relatively inoffensive, and even somewhat refreshing - but in the manner of sprite, which i think it has more in common with than beer. not a novel take, but a valid one. reviewing aside, i might take one if i'm at the beach and parched, but i won't pay money for it.

355ml Can

Appearance – Clear yellow colour with an average size fizzy white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is almost no lacing. The head lasted for around 3 minutes before it was gone.

Smell - Grains, bread, lime

Taste & Mouth - The beer has an above average amount of carbonation. I can taste breads/grains mixed with lots of lime. That's about it really.. The lime really takes over the taste.. to the point that this is more of a lime soda than a beer.

Overall – This isn't something that I would have purchased, but it was offered to me by a friend and I figured I might as well give it a try. It seems to be selling fairly well - I figured it would be a fad that would away, but the beer has been around for a few years now. I still don't see whats so hard about adding your own lime to a bud light. (or whichever beer you choose) At least then it would taste less artificial.

Got this at a concert I went to out of a can. Poor choice I know but I guess a Beer is better than no beer right?

Poured this beast out of a can into a clear plastic cup. Only the best for Bud Light! It produced a tiny thin white head, poor retention, no lacing. It poured a pale yellow color. Aroma was a hint of odd smelling lime- somehow i doubt the claim of 100% Natural Lime Flavor" There was a taste of lime from start to finish. I did not detect any malt or grain or hops for that matter. Can someone say lemon lime Vess Soda that has been sitting out in an open 2 liter bottle for about a week. Overall, bad- not good-

Grabbed this can from a cookout fo free - poured into a southern tier tulip glass. fancy presentation for a not so fancy brew.

Pours a straw yellow, well filtered with moderate head. Head goes away fast but not like too bad. Smells pretty damn good actually. I mean.. it's beer and it doesn't smell like beer but damn it smells like sprite! Taste is pretty refreshing and it was kind of a surprise. There isn't really any flavor and the lime is kind of faint in the taste. Mouthfeel is slimy like a bud heavy.

Overall this beer wasn't nearly as bad as I expected it to be. It's like a fizzy citrusy soda. Not much abv so it doesn't hit hard. It sounds trashy but I really wouldn't mind a canned one on a hot day fishing or something.

Appearance: A pale yellow color with a small, one finger sized white head that has about 10-15 seconds of retention and no lacing to speak of

Smell: The lime is noticeable right of the bat, also has the typical smells of a light lager behind the lime. It is very hoppy in smell and is actually not bad smelling

Taste: Very hoppy taste, can taste the lime right away, but it isn’t overly strong. The taste is just like any other light beer but the lime flavor makes this beer a bit better than most

Mouthfeel: Very light feel and very light bodied. Has what seems to be a lot of carbonation and is very frothy

Overall: Not a bad beer in the big picture, but isn’t really that great either. The lime flavor really adds a lot to this beer.

24oz Bottle (Purchased in Kansas/full-strength)

Pale yellow in color. I actually expected a touch of orange, but it's not here. The head of white foam forms, then disappears, just as quickly. No lacing.

I love lime. The nose on this is full of lime with a light graininess. I also hate when a product says that it contains something and you have to search hard to find it. This actually delivers!

Mild graininess. Light maltiness. Good dose of lime. It doesn't even taste like chemical flavoring. Nice.

Light bodied with a medium level of carbonation. Smooth, crisp and clean. Nicely refreshing.

I don't know that I could down 18 of these in an evening or anything, but I'm glad to find a BMC product that I don't mind drinking.

A- Yellow and fizzy as expected with an overly tall 3" pure white head which quickly fades to a tiny layer. Lots of little carbonation bubbles and brilliantly clear make this beer look somewhat appetizing.

S- Definitely sweet sugar and lime, like a margarita. Some light beer adjuncts just creep through under this. Overall it smells like a lime beer, without any real off flavors.

T- Light in flavor, theres a little lime in the middle with more coming in the back end with the beer character being some adjunct and lager sweetness in the middle. The lime doesn't seem extremely "fresh" but there isn't an off character to it either, just pretty standard.

M- Very thin and watery, easily the worst characteristic of the beer. Lots of carbonation make it a quick and easy drinker like it should be but it feels like drinking lime water more than lime beer in some ways.

D- This beer certainly surprised me. I am not a fan of bud light but this seems to cover up the off flavors with a moderately enjoyable lime characteristic. If I was going to drink a lot of beers on a summer day I wouldn't mind this being one or two of them.

I decided to rewrite my review of Bud Light Lime.

After trying this beer multiple times I came to the conclusion that it is a good beer... when consumed in a correct manner.

I admit that this light beer tastes a lot like sprite compared to other "real" beers, however, the overwhelming lime taste is preferable in many ways to the complete lack of flavor or strong corn taste of many other unflavored light beers.

If you enjoy beer, you probably don't enjoy the taste of most mass-marketed light beers. You may drink them, but only because they are less filling, weaker and cheaper than other better styles.

When it comes to light lagers, I understand Bud Light Lime. It is light, crisp and has a bit of flavor that other, completely tasteless light beers, lack. It is great to slug down, especially when its hot, you're working outside or are watching sports.

Bud Light Lime is not a good beer compared to other better beers, but when used correctly and without pretension, it is good.

Pretty average appearance. Pours out a golden straw color with some white sudsy head. No lacing of course plenty of rising carbonation. Smells like bud light with lime added. As advertised. Can't really smell much more than lime. Taste is nothing but lime. The good thing is it taste natural. Like I got a bud light and literally squeezed lime juice into it. Mouth feel is ok. Light bodied, highly carbonated. Like seltzer water almost. Don't really have anything bad to say about this. It is what it is. Average macro lager. Would I buy this on a regular basis? No. I wouldn't turn down a free one if that's all there was though.
