Appearance - A light yellow/neon color that you can see through. Almost no head and no lacing left on the glass after I finished the beer. Similar to a Bud Light.

Smell - Lime. That's all there I could find, you can't even smell the Bud Light.

Taste - Lime. It tasted like drinking Lime seltzer water. I couldn't even taste the Bud Light part. Other reviews on BeerAdvocate claim a salty taste, I didn't taste any salt.

Mouthfeel - It feels like drinking Lime seltzer water. It had a fair amount of carbonation that stayed with the beer until the end, but so doesn't Lime seltzer water.

Drinkability - At least it's easy to drink, haha. I don't know why you'd want to drink it but its like drinking Lime seltzer water.

First I would like to say that I am not a fan of Anheuser-Busch, I don't like what they do to the beer industry. I will try to put my feelings aside and give this beer an honest review. The only reason I have this beer is because a family friend left some at the house.

12oz can poured into a pint glass.

A: This pours more like a soda. The head is none existent, it fizzes at the top. It is super clear with a tint of yellow. It almost looks neon.

S: This beer has one scent... lime. It is not a fresh lime aroma either, it is that Sprite or wine cooler type citrus smell.

T: Very artificial flavor. Its basically overwhelming with a fake lime/citrus flavor at first then a very light beer taste. The abundance of lime almost makes the beer taste skunky. There is no after taste, just a weird mouthfeel.

M: My first couple sips were highly carbonated but then within three minutes my beer was basically flat. Either one doesn't really work for it.

D: I found myself drinking this beer very quickly. Maybe it is because the taste dissipates from my palate so quickly or maybe I just wanted to end this experience. I could see myself getting acid reflex after a couple of these.

poured straight from can to pint glass..

pours a clear pale yellow/golden color with alkaseltzer style carbonation.. thin white head that sizzles like alka seltzer..

smell: lots and lots of lime aroma! other than that maybe just a tad bit of grain but no malt or hop characteristics..

taste: again lots and lots of lime!! a bit salty as well.. barely getting any beer characteristics.. finishes crisp..

mouthfeel is very bubblly.. thin bodied..

easy to drink but not my fav to swill..

A - A very pale golden yellow color with a slight hazy glow... No head to speak of what so ever... Loaded with moderate paced carbonation...

S - Very light touches of grain... Sweet kiss of artificial lime... Not much else going on here...

T - Some bready malts... Grains... Cereal... Artifical sweetner... A touch of sweet lime...

M -Light bodied... Crisp... Light carbonation... A very light artificial sweetner induced stickiness lingers...

D - Oddly drinkable... Quaffable... A good beer for a hot summers night in the absence of quality alternatives... A mili-step improvement over most BMC alternatives...

Bud Light Lime straddles a dangerous line between beer and flavored alcoholic beverages (like the dreaded Malternatives). It's hardly a beer at all; rather, it's more of a carbonated, alcoholic lime soda.

Appearance- Fairly transparent pale gold. Thin white head that quickly fades without leaving much lacing.

Smell- Strong smell of lime (shocking, right?) and not much else aside from a little grain.

Taste- The dubious "natural" lime flavor overpowers everything else, which isn't surprising considering the fact that regular Bud Light is fairly weak and flavorless to begin with. Even the dominant lime taste is fairly flat.

Mouthfeel- Thin, watery, and somewhat bubbly due to the carbonation.

Drinkability- This beer is perfect if you're so indecisive that you can't choose between having a beer and having a Sprite. It might make a good addition to certain margarita recipes; however, on its own, it should be passed over for something better.

clear yellow, thin head. Smells like sprite. Tastes like lime soda, no malt or hops to speak of. It's actually not awful, but it's NOT beer - really it's an alcopop or a beer cooler. You'd be better off adding a shot of vodka to your lemonade. Don't waste your money on this thinking that it's anything other than Budweiser's answer to mike's hard lemonade or smirnoff ice.

A: Crystal clear golden yellow, no head, pretty fizzy

S: Smells like a citrusy stale beer

T:Tastes like something you shouldn't be drinking. chemicals, bud with artificial lime flavoring in it. Just like the bottle says!

M: Like wine spritzer or something

D:You can drink these all day with no fear of catching any sort of load.
It tastes like any lemon or lime flavored cleaning product. Better than most of Bud's offerings.

Look - It looks like a regular light beer. Light golden color, clear, watery with very little foam that dissipated very quickly.

Smell - It smells just like the light version of this beer, with a twist of lime.

Taste - The lime taste is more promanant in the taste than it is in the smell, which is a bit comforting. Not really bitter nor malty. This is the first time I've tried this beer, and I must say I like the addition. It's not much, but at least it gives Bud Light a little more flavor.

Mouthfeel - Very light, watery, just like the normal Light version.

Drinkability - Same repeat-drinkability as the Light version, but with a very slight improvement in the taste.

I tried this beer after purchasing a singlke can from the 'singles' bin at one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer pours a translucent gold colour with a generous white head that disappears quickly. The aroma is phenolic in nature and not appealing at all. The mouthfeel is weak bodied, flat, and lightly carbonated (odd considering the huge head). The flavour is flat, citrusy, and weakly malty. This is a pretty bad beer even by swill standards which makes it even more surprising that the masses love it so much.

Light as light can be straw colored lager with lots of bubbles. Thin white head forms then retreats into the liquid in a matter of seconds leaving tiny patches of lacing that slide down the glass.

Faint grain and citrus aroma. Very clean and lackluster.

Just a touch of biscuity grain hits the tongue. There may be some citrusy hop character but whatever is there is too weak to overpower the lime. Overall, not too much flavor, slightly better than BL though.

Very light bodied and a spritzy carbonation. Feels more like a soda than a beer.

Goes down easy but due to the lack of flavor, I'm not sure that I want to take another sip. This beer tastes and feels very similar to lime flavored sparkling water. It is refreshing but I would hesitate to call it a beer.

It's summer time so of course it's a perfect opportunity to review Bud Light Lime.

A- A very clean golden yellow with little to no head that is a clean white, very few bubbles that apear here and there, nothing about the look of this beer is very inviting.

S- You guess it lime with the after smell of it's cousin Bud Light, again nothing inviting to the aroma of this beer.

T- With the lime induced flavor it is an average beer, no carbonation, altough it is crisp and very delicious in the right atmosphere, cooking out, the beach, ect. it doesn't have any wow factor or distinctive taste, besides lime.

MF- Not heavy, no surprise being a light beer, you get almost a sour sensation, with a semi-dry after taste.

D- Now this is the only good grade I'll give for the simple fact I do enjoy drinking this beer only in the right atmosphere of course, and when I do drink them I can drink them all trough the evening, especially being a light beer, and not having a huge

This is a gulping summer beer, best drank while it's super cold. I'm talk just above freezing.

I think it best to put in context how I enjoyed this refreshing beer. I had spend about five hours outside working on the lawn mower in the hot sun. I was parched and I had the choice between water and a BL Lime, seeming I hadn't had any lunch I decided to down a BL Lime. I pulled it out, twisted off the cap, and took a big gulp. It was refreshing, it quenched my thirst better than water.

It's Lite, with a hint of lime, and easy to drink. It's almost like a soda or carbonated flavored water. It should be compared to beers like itself because comparing it to a domestic micro brew is like comparing steak to apples. It's a completely different species.

When I first got the beer and hadn't decreased temp in fridge I thought the beer was gross. I posted a Facebook status update of how disgusting it was. However after I decreased the temp in fridge, I had a change of heart. My advice is buy a mini fridge to keep beer in, so you can fully control the temp to get best taste. Some beers taste better a little warm, while others would be best enjoyed in Antarctica.

This is a young guy and gal beer. It'd probably be popular with 20 somethings. I could easily down a six pack these without coming up for air. They're that easy to drink and taste pretty damn good, better than ice tea or lemonade. I wish I would have had a whole cooler of these at the airshow I was at Sunday.

i know i shouldn't review this because it's kinda laughable. i mean c'mon this isn't really a beer.. this is for girls on a hot summer day that don't really drink.. amazing i got from a dude but wow this is something i did drink cuz it was all that was around... now let me bash the shit out of it and tell you what i really think...

A - LOL... that's all i can say and i'm sure i'll say this about every attribute.. this wasn't even worthy to pour into a glass i just drank it out of the bottle... i knew there would be no head.. but this stuff is so lite yellow it's ridiculous..

S - c'mon are you serious!! lol.. i mean the fake artificial lime smell comes out.. definitely not beer... it smells like a lime drink..

T - it's lime flavored juice or water really. i mean i can see people that really don't like beer enjoying this.. it's more for a picnic session beer.. not for me.. but probably great for a girl who doesn't like to drink.. any guy caught with this should be absolutely ashamed.. if you're a guy drinking this, be careful not to spill any on your fur coat or your coach bag...

D - one was enough for me.. i drank it so i could laugh at it.. and i know bmc doesn't care about me.. i'm a big minority.. i would never bash anyone who puts forth an honest effort in producing a good beer.. this was not that.. this is an absolute joke.. but obviously so many people like this, i see it fly off the shelves.. so hats off to bmc for great marketing and managing to convince people that this garbage tastes good...

Pours a crystal clear body with a small white head.

Nose has a very strong artificial lime and corn malt smell.

Taste is light bodied and very smooth. Lawnmower beer completely. There's a strong lime taste, but it's a very fake processed artificial sickly sweet lime flavor. Like the have on those lime flavor chips or something. The only thing close to lime in this is a chemcial mix we made up sort of flavor. A strong basic 6 row malt, corn and rice flavor dominates the malt. Ends with a quick lime burtst.

It's basically Corona with lime, but if you're too cheap to actually pay for Corona with lime. Everything has a very "fake" sort of taste to it. If you remember Texuiza from the late 90's, this is basically what it tastes like. Bud light goes south of the border with a touch of very fake lime. That being said... it's very drinkable. :-)

Paler than pale yellow. Thin wispy white head. Smells like lime. Doesn't smell like beer at all but it does smell like lime. Taste like Sprite. Hey I like the taste of Sprite so this is much better than I was expecting. Not much mouthfeel at all. A little bit of carbonation. Wait, I can't really feel it in my mouth. It is drinkable and it's refreshing. It was actually very good at the minor league ball game I was attending and it was free to boot. To be the only beer available it could have been worse. It could have been regular Bud Light.

A beautiful warm sunny afternoon on the deck at my 2-year old grandson's birthday party. The choice is lemonade, Coors Light, or BL Lime.
Appearance. Green and aluminum. It's a can!
Smell. Mostly beef on the grill and some sun-heated wood decking.
Taste. Limey with a beer back-up. Light and refreshing...way better than lemonade.
Mouthfeel. Wet with carbonation.
Drinkability. Way surprising...I liked it. I had two! I might even buy a case.
Crap...what am I saying? I haven't had a Bud product in years....

Bottle poured into a pint glass

A: Bright yellow-gold. Crystal clear. Moderate head even with a gentle pour. Left the tiniest of lace on the glass edge, but that's it.

S: Sweet citrus aroma (surprise, right?). Slightly grainy underneath. No hops or malt in the smell.

T:Sweet citrus hits you first followed by a grainy flavor. The flavor is a little too sweet, but the sourness of the lime is balanced with the grain flavor. There's an element of sweetness that's just a little too pervasive. It might be the artifical lime.

M: Fairly heavily carbonated so it rolls and pops in your mouth, but surprising little bite. Definitely light bodied.

D: Personally....when selection is limited, this beer is highly drinkable. Definitely drink fresh and cold.

Overall, if I had to choose something to drink at a party with only BMC, this would be my go-to.

This is the Natty Light of cerveza style beers. Unless it was the only thing available, ahhh, I'm not kidding anyone. If it was the only thing available I would not drink, or get a margarita. Bud Light Lime sucks even compared to Miller Chill, and it tastes like Bud Ice compared to the likes of a Dos Equis. Stay away. Stay very far away.

Smell: lime is all you can detect here.

Taste: this comes off as a lime soda - very carbonated, spritzy, and somewhat fake lime flavors. No other discernable flavors here at all.

Mouthfeel: light in body. Crisp from start to finish. An awful lime flavor lingers briefly in the mouth.

Drinkability: this was one of the worst flavored beers I can remember having. Almost like pouring concentrated lime juice in a light beer. Avoid this at all costs.

I drank this straight from the bottle as most people would, not a glass.

In this review, I'm not going to simply repeat what has already been said about the artificial, watery taste and all. Instead, all I'm going to say is that this beer, despite the fact that it won't win any awards, is fantastic at being what AB wants it to be. Obviously targeted at the Corona crowd, it's meant to be a good beer to drink while with friends, at a party, or relaxing, and it is exactly that. It's very agreeable in a larger crowd, and is a refreshing and easy-to-drink beer.

I think it's important to understand what the purpose of a certain beer is when critiquing it, and in the case of Bud Light Lime, it shoots and scores. This is the kind of beer you drink around a bonfire. This is the kind of beer that goes well with buffalo chicken pizza. This is the kind of beer you get when you're throwing a party, and I appreciate it for what it is in that regard. It's a lighthearted beer to drink while having fun, not to be analyzed for complexity, which is why it rubs some of the serious beer tasters here sourly. I see and respect their view as well, but if you're a casual drinker, you very well may enjoy this brew, so don't let them scare you off.

I also like the lime flavor, despite others saying it's too overpowering. It adds much needed character, waking up swill that would otherwise be snooze-worthy. Anyone who drinks beer should at least give BL Lime a shot in the right setting unless their Friday nights consist of chatting with the book club or crocheting socks.

Had this on tap at Old Chicago Westminster as their Store Choice on the Cinco De Mayo mini-tour (Greg or Kevin, what WERE you thinking??)
I ordered this not knowing what the choice was, wanting to finish the mini tour.

Anyway, I was a gamer to at least give this a whirl. When Mike brought it to my table, shaking his head, apologizing for not warning me what selection #8 on mini tour was, I saw a typical yellow fizzy brew I could just about read my newspaper through. I thought to myself, "ok, this is gonna be like Bud Light. I can do this as even though I wouldn't buy BL, I can get one down." There was very little carbonation in the glass and very little aroma. I took a sip and said to myself, yes, this is a Bud Light. Very thin mouthful and very little taste. I swallowed the sip, thinking I'd get through the shaker glassful. Then it hit me: God-awful over-powering lime flavor. I took a sip of water to cleanse the pallot, and tried again. Yep, same thing at first, then that NASTY lime flavor hit. This time several sips of water couldn't get rid of the nasty aftertaste. My girlfriend said the lime taste reminded her of some kind of medicine she took as a child. I choked down one shaker of this monstroscity; she couldn't do more than one sip of her's and I couldn't finish it for her. Don't know what AB was thinking but this one is definitely not worth the time and effort to brew. Warning, Will Robinson. Danger, Danger. Avoid this one!!

Appearance: No foam. Looks a lot lot urine...carbonated urine. It's actually kind of neon yellow...

Smell: It would be good, but it's a just a little bit stale. Otherwise, it smells nice...like lime (duh).

Taste/Mouthfeel: Anheuser-Busch did a great job making this smooth. It's nothing more than Corona and lime with some hops. I really do like this taste though...not too fake in my opinion. The right amount of bitterness, saltiness, sourness, and sweetness.

Drinkability: Since it tastes like a malted lime beverage, this stuff is extraordinary drinkable.

Overall: It's definitely a girl drink, but not a bad one. At least it's an attempt at beer. I definitely hope this one stays on the market. Good well with spicy food.
