This is a rather anti-climatic effort after all the advertising that A-B foisted upon us prior to the release of this brew.
The color is nice, and admittedly unexpected for a brew from A-B. Unfortunately, the color is about the best aspect of this beer.
The smell definitely hints of something promising. Some of the overtones of the smell were strangely reminiscent of SA Boston Lager (go figure).
Taste? Disappointing. Really Disappointing -- especially after the promising color and aroma. Bland and unbalanced would be two words that come to mind. The initial flavor is absolutely invisible. The hops appear ever-so-briefly and then give way to a rather forgettable, bland finish. I could tolerate a weak opening if the finish was malty, or if the hops stepped up and took over... But in this case, nothing took over.
Mouthfeel was decidedly average. Carbonation level was typical for a macro, foam was decent, but nothing memorable.
Drinkability -- well, I finished my 6-pack -- does that count? It didn't go down the drain, but I won't be buying it again. I was hoping for more character overall and better balance.
I should say that I applaud A-B for at least trying to diversify the Budweiser name a bit, and I hope they keep up the effort to do so. This first attempt didn't do much for me, but perhaps a future endeavor will lead to a better brew.

Anheuser-Busch's attempt make a better beer, it has better quality than it's large scale production brethren. It pours clear golden, light foamy head, with lacings, and average carbonation. It lacks aroma, has an average ale taste with the major taste being hops. It has no edge, is refreshing, and leaves a hops aftertaste.
