Thanks to Burdman for sample. I expressed some interest in trying it but would never buy it myself. My expectations are low but I'll try to approach it with an open mind.
Nice bronze color and an OK head to start. Head drops quickly and there is no lacing to speak of. Lots of fine bubbles going on.
Smell is very crisp and malty. Just a faint wiff of hops. The hops totally goes away in the taste but the malt is surprisingly bold. Mouth is on the thin side.
All in all, I'm very surprised at the quality of this brew. I won't be stocking it at home, but would certainly choose this over many others at a bar that didn't serve a good micro. It would be really interesting to see bud actually try to brew a bold IPA or something but at least this is a step in the right direction.
