A: Pours a clear red/brown. Sort of thick creamy head. Some lacing on the glass. Doesn't look very hearty, but doesn't look terrible.
S: Mostly malt. Sweetness overwhelming what I think is a hint of citrus hops. Smells pleasant, but nothing to write home about.
T: Bland, almost sugary tasting malt. There's a slight citrus hoppiness to it, but the malt completely overwhelms it.
M: This beer feels really thin. Like thinner than even my cheap-ass beers of choice. There's a little carbonation, but it doesn't do much more than just make this feel like I'm drinking a cheap soda or something.
D: Despite this beer's shortcomings, it's pretty drinkable. I could probably pound these all night and not be unhappy with it. Unfortunately, that's kind of the problem with it. There's no bite to this beer, and if they're trying to legitimately compete with craft/middle-of-the-road pseudo-craft brewers putting out similar styles, this one falls flat. It's a bland, watery, alternative to Sierra Nevada or Fat Tire or Blue Moon or any number of other slightly more expensive, and exponentially more interesting alternatives. Unless there's nothing else around, I'll pass on this one. It's a step up for Budweiser, but it's still kind of bottom of the line when there are so many better beers in similar styles out there.
