im not a big anheuser-busch fan, but i thought they might have actually turned out something different with this brew, so i grabbed a sixer. poured into a pint glass, it has a coppery golden color, accompanied by a decent white-ish head that didnt stay around. smells of malts with a little sweetness and light hops. taste is nothing special unfortunately. i try to be unbiased, but while drinking i just felt that it was a watered down effort at a decent craft beer, literally and figuratively. it is grainy, sweet, a bit malty, balanced by some budweiser bitter flavor. has no real aftertaste, just a fleeting bitterness. maybe a slight bump over budweiser in the flavor department. feels light/medium bodied with decent carbonation. of course it scores well on the drinkability, but therein lies the problem. why drink a beer just because it goes down easy, if it has nothing else going for it? maybe if im watching a football game and don't want to think about anything else i'll drink this, but never for the pleasure of drinking a good beer because this isn't one.
