First of all it has an actual bottle cap instead of srew off cap(amazing concept). I don't know if I gave this score because I liked the beer, or because I bought it, expecting a failure. Anyway THe beer poured a dark copper to amber color with a decent bubbly head that actually left a lace in the glass. Smell of hops and malt, like a real ale. Now the real test. MMM! not bad! Taste actual hops, malt. There is a hint of the corn/rice formula that they are so famous for, but it tastes like an actual ale. I have had worse ales that I've paid more for. I've never been an advocate for Bud, but this one is a beer that I wouldn't turn down if it was given to me(like I've done with the lager) and I think I would purchase it again(especially if they start selling it at the cheap 12 pack prices that they sell their lager at).
