Honestly torn over whether I want this beer to succeed or not. I guess it depends on what AB decides to do with their success if it does succeed. Make other decent beers? Or buy more Bud lite advertising?
It's a decent beer, it really is. The best thing about it is that it's available in a lot of places like gas stations and small liquor stores on the cheap. Simply much cheaper than buying 6-packs of Sam or SNPA in most places. I'm sure this is not a mistake.
I probably won't end up buying a lot of this, simply on the principle of wanting to support smaller brewers. But I suppose it is a good thing it exists. Hopefully this beer will get more people into craft beer. I'm pushing my father in that direction, and I'll certainly have him try this.
A note on the labeling: I don't really think this should be classed as American amber. It really seems more like an amber-colored pale ale to me. If anything, hoppier than SNPA.

I remember when Budweiser American Ale came out on the market. This was one of the only Anheuser Busch beers with a pull cap not a twist off. This was a drak beer with a bold taste. It is a shame they do not brew this beer anymore. I would get it time after time it was something different from the Budweiser or Michelob. Overall I gave this beer a 3.
