Poured into my pseudo (pretty close to, but not really) weizen glass.
A: Dark cloudy amber. Initially pours into a big, light brown, frothy head. Settles fairly quickly, and leaves a light smattering of bubbly carbonation on top. A little lacing (more like a coating on the glass as there is not much of a head to leave the lacing), and a small circle of carbonation remains around the surface as you drink it down.
S: Malt, fruity and citrus hints.
T: Dark roasted malt, yeast, slightly hoppy. A little banana, and a hint of lemon.
M: Sharpness wakes up the tastebuds. Fills the mouth, coats the palette, and leaves a fruity and hoppy aftertaste.
D: Very drinkable. Really good flavor. Not too heavy, not too light. Does have a strange feel almost like it was made with soda water. . . hard to describe. Distracts from the overall experience a little, but not enough to make it a real negative.
Good flavorful, refreshing dunkelweisse. I was a little surprised with the quality given the brewer. Good quaff, especially if you like this style.
