12 ounce bottle - $1.49 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours out a clear, ruby-hued body with a full finger of off-white foam. Irregardless of how it may taste, it does at least look appealing.

Smell: Faintly sweet-scented aroma with modest notes of toasted bread, toasted nuts, and caramel. Noted fruitiness akin to picked berries.

Taste: Maltiness tasting of dry caramel with sturdy tastes of both toast and nuts. Moderate sweetness. Ripe, berry-toned fruitiness. Faintly herbal, earthy hop character, though there's enough bitterness to counteract the sweetness. Touch of tannic graininess midway through. The body thins slightly as you hit the reasonably crisp, toasty finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Slight creaminess to the mouthfeel.

Drinkability: Okay, so while it doesn't exactly exhibit the relatively richer character of, say, the Samuel Adams Irish Red, it's still not altogether bad. Delightfully bearable!

Appearance: Dark red almost a brown amber color. It had a dark tan head and lace that was thin and disappeared quickly.

Smell: It smelled like caramel with a small amount of hops to the nose.

Taste: The flavor had tones of cereal and burnt caramel with also a mild bitterness. The aftertaste was an odd sour taste.

Mouthfeel: It had a medium body with a little carbonation bite.

Overall: It is alright. I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it but it was in a sample pack.
