An unfiltered amber wheat ale with a slight caramel sweetness and refreshing citrus note. Brewed with Cascade and Willamette hops from the Pacific Northwest and Hallertau hops from Southern Germany, Hop Hound certainly lives up to its name. The amber hue results from the blend of caramel, wheat and pale barley malts.

This beer pours a beautiful deep hazey chestnut. About a half finger of white fizzy head that recedes rapidly and ok lacing. The nose is of sweet toffee and minor peach-like overtones. The taste is of light citrusy hops, a smidge bready with some grassy overtones to it. I was expecting more hops to it though. This is a light body, higher carbonation. This beer has the typical Michelob taste that is prevalent in all of their beers. For what it is, this is an ok beer. You could certainly put a few of these away in a sitting.
