O'Doul's and O'Doul's Amber are non-alcohol malt beverages.

O’Doul’s has a mild, sweet taste with a slightly dry finish. O’Doul’s Amber has a rich, slightly sweet taste with flavorful hop finish.

O’Doul’s and O’Doul’s Amber are brewed as traditional premium beers – fermented and aged to full maturity. The alcohol is then removed through the use of low temperature, low-pressure distillation. This extremely gentle process allows the alcohol to be removed without heating or cooking the beer, which retains the full, rich and delicate flavor and balance of our non-alcohol brews.

Poured a clear amber color. Head is white and well formed. Aroma is worse than its lighter brother, O'Doul's Lager. Sweet, shredded paper that would customarily be used at the bottom of a reptile's terrarium. Flavor has some light, sweet amber malt and nothing further. Body is light as all get out. Bubbly carbonation. Never had a N/A beer before. Funny to try.

Can.

Poured from a 12oz bottle.

On the pour, 3 fingers of bubbly off white head formed on top of a clear, light brownish amber body. The head retention isn't fantastic, but is better than expected.

Aroma is quite light, and does carry a slight sulfur off flavor, but isnt the absolute worst, as I can pick up some toasty caramel notes.

The flavor is actually a whole lot better than the smell, but still very sweet. Again toasty caramel malts dominate, with a very slight tinge of bitterness trying to balance everything out. Better than any other Non Alcoholic macro brew I've had however, so I'm probably being a bit too hard on it. Like a slight downgrade from Michelob AmberBock. There is a strange molasses like sweetness that builds as the beer warms.

The feel is a bit heavy for what it is, verging on syrupy. The finish is quite long and as the beer warms, it starts making me think molasses, which is hard to ignore. There is a dryness however, so if the finish were just a bit crisper this would be a whole lot nicer to drink.

Overall, this did better than expected in my opinion. I think it's decent for what it is, although it's definitely a bit pricey for what it is too. It is the Michelob AmberBock of alcohol free beers, but that also means it simply isn't as good as AmberBock.

Better than expected. Unoffensive and quite drinkable. Would have again anytime.

Clear light amber with 1/2 finger of quickly-dissipating light than head.

Smell is slight caramel and toffee, as would be expected. Good aroma, just not much of it.

Taste is molasses, toffee, bread crust, tea and a bit of noble hop spiciness. Almost like having the base bread for gingerbread, with a glass of iced tea, but much less flavor intensity, and drier. Moderate bitterness.

Feel is light , with moderate ,fine, sharp carbonation.

Overall, decent beer in an absolute sense, and good for NA beer. None of the unfinished wort flavor that is present in old-school NA beer. The tea flavor is the only oddity, but half-way through it, I'm used to it. If, I wasn't doing a review, I'm not sure I would have specifically noticed it.

Purchased in Canada, brewed in canada under labatt. this is probably my favourite non alcohol brew so far. nice mild malt, and the subtle hop expression really seems to shine in this one. Not crazy about the ingredients having glucose syrup but theres only 2g of sugar per can, so it can't be much.

If you're comparing this brew to real beer, DON'T! This is a non-alcohol brew! If you are a retired alky like me, this is a
Godsend! It is as close to real beer as I have ever tasted. I now have something to look forward to when eating pizza or burgers. Now, when we go to friends for dinner, I bring a 6 pack of Amber and I (capital I) can drive home! Thanks A/B!

Great alternative and nice taste. I enjoy it during the week when you don’t need or want to drink.

I only drink this if I am a guest at someone's home and they bought it for me because I do not drink alcohol.
Otherwise, I would not buy or drink this stuff.

12oz brown bottle - review from notes

This is slightly better than regular O'douls, but both suffer from having little flavor, and what little flavor there is is mostly funky garbage juice. But there is a bit more malt to this, and I'd take it over the OG anyday

Shout out to Kenny Dennis
