Holding Budweiser to the standards of heavier, hoppier brews betrays a mule-headedness and naïveté that exposes the run-of-the-mill Beer Advocates here as poseurs, more transparent than the brave American brew they slander and slur.
America is the land of working-class fellows who want a beer with their burger lunch, but don't want to worry about a DUI on the way back to the office or the job site. America is made up of cities like Tucson and El Paso and Little Rock, burgs with warm climes that demand a crisp, cold brew. There are few Euro brews or American micros that can deliver what the hard-charging Bud drinker demands.
The above numbers represent a review that is as honest and straight-forward as the beer it evaluates. For the Beer Advocates who get it, this Bud's for you.
Serving type: on-tap
