Appearance - Pours a very clear, golden color with a centimeter thick head that dissipates instantly. The carbonation is so strong it sizzles.

Smell - The only smell I can point out is orange peel.. and maybe somewhat toasty. Doesn't smell as bad as I thought it would but it's nothing special.

Taste - Grassy, sweet, and kinda has a nutty toasted flavor to it. It's pretty bad.. The aftertaste is bitter and tastes like chemicals.

Mouthfeel - Very light body with high carbonation.

Overall - I guess it's not that bad for being $1.89 for a 40oz, but I'll never resort to drinking this again unless I'm poor. Haha

A: Pours a clear yellow with a fizzy white mousse that doesn't last any length of time. Honestly, I'm wondering why I even bothered pouring this into a glass.

S: Grain husks, roasted corn, and grassy, herbal hops mingle with metallic and fuel-like aromas. This smells simply awful...

T: At first, notes of mineral water, grain husks, roasted corn, grass, herbs, and cooked vegetables are easy to spot, but they are soon joined by a metallic tang and what can only be described as a kerosene flavor. The finish is prickly and harsh with mineral, grain husk, fuel, metal, and corn flavors.

M: Light bodied, dry, and spritzy. It feels gravelly in the mouth. Not drinkable in the least.

O: This is awful even by malt liquor standards. I think I may have been overly generous when I gave this monstrosity scores of 1.5 across the board. This may very well be the worst beer I've ever tried.

Okay, i will be fair on my assessment of this beer. Obviously malt liquor is not a gourmet beer, but this one is drinkable. First off, its cheap, and if youre broke or in a pinch, its not that bad. The downfall of this beer is the raunchy malt aroma which makes the taste all that worse. The beer pours like a stereotypical malt liquor and has the ubiquitous harsh taste.

Drank straight out of the old 40 ounce bottle...YEEHAW!

Appearance: Beer is a normal golden color, and it fizzes a little when I open it.

Smell: Slight toastiness with high ethyl tones. Also, have you ever eaten a bag of popcorn and then taken a pee? It smells like popcorn urine. But not in a terribly bad way. (???)

Taste/Mouthfeel: Astringent. Sour. Barely fizzy. Bad trip.

Overall: King Cobra is actually one of my favorite malt liquors...which isn't saying much, but for what it's worth, it's not terrible...

...oh who am I kidding. You get what you pay for.

A: Very clear pale straw in color with a white head.

S: Like Budweiser on steroids. Corn, cereal, etc.

T: BLLLEEEHHH. not worth it.

M: Ugh. Water thats about it.

D: Get trashed beer. not much more.

I would say King Cobra is king as far as malt liquor goes. Olde English 800 and those of that ilk are undrinkable for me...gross on the back end. King Cobra, like the bros say, has a clean finish. Smells a bit funky, some kind of sharpness going on there, but it doesn't taste terrible. It's the rough equivalent of buying a 40oz of BMC, no better, no worse. Save yourself a few bucks and get two of these instead of a sixer of coors or whatever.

32 oz bottle poured into a cheap Budweiser pint glass (this one doesn't even have the nucleation site on it...) No apparent date, but has some cryptic character strings stamped on the bottom of the bottle and on the label.

Appearance - Very clear pale straw body with a very thin white sticky head.

Smell - Musky earth. Corn. Sod. Witch Hazel. Not very appetizing, but hey, it's a malt liquor.

Taste - Very watered down ethanol. Corn. Musk. Staleness throughout.

Mouthfeel - Ugh. Water with a little slime in it. No body, just an uncomfortable slight stickiness and staleness in the finish.

Overall Drinkability - Haven't had this since I was 17, which is about a decade ago. Turns out there's a pretty good reason for that. My decision to rate this beer makes me feel like a dirty beer-karma slut.

This stuff is awesome. It's called KING COBRA and it's a kickass can with a f'ing COBRA on the can. I mean seriously, that is some mean a$$ shiznit. Nothing says cool like drinking a malt liquor with a motherf#$*ing snake on the plane, I mean can.

A - Pale beer, little carbonation head, not a ton of stick on the sides.

S - How many ways can I say something smells like pale malts and corn? That's what it is.

T - Sweet pale malts, corn, slight bit of alcohol, watered down.

M - Carbonated, a little too much, and light bodied.

O - I don't like this beer other than the great packaging because you don't want to mess with a KING COBRA.

pale gold apearance. absolutely crystal clear. pale gold color. very effervescent with minimal head retention.

smells like corn. not really any thing else there.

tastes sweet like corn and it finishes dry with a big alcohol note that comes through and lingers unpleasantly.

this beer(or whatever) is as thin as water. nice carbonation though.

overall i say the problem with this beer is it is so this that it cant very well mask the flavor of the alcohol. on top of that the flavor of corn outweighs the flavor of the malt. and on top of that the sweetness outweighs the hoppy bitterness.

still i do have a sweet spot in my heart for this beer as it is the beer i drank the most of before i turned 21.

Poured it into a coca-cola glass cause that's what I do. Nice yellow amber color with weak white head. Did leave some lacing. Smells of corn rice and hay in that order.

Taste like very high quality macro swill. Blows all the big boys decisively out of the water. You couldn't really call this beer ...they've don't well to call it a malt beverage.

Very drinkable and accept for a odd balsa wood/damp earth finish and the criminally minded manufacturer, this is a respectable accurately labled brew.

If the dollars are tight and your not a beer snob, this is a must try.

stay away from this shit.

I consumed a 40 oz of this beer. It was the last 40 oz i have consumed to this day, and will forever be the last 40 oz i will ingest. Not the way to enjoy beer, no matter if its craft or otherwise.

anyway, this stuff is terrible. all malt and no substance, all booze and no taste.

The combination of cobra and doritos scarred me for life.

just...dont do it.

Did the beer geek nation 40 challenge. Had to review after.

Drank straight from the bottle like a 40 should. When you drink it fast and let it slosh around it kinda forms a thin head. No lacing inside the bottle when you do that though. Clear lager color.

Aroma smells hay-ish. Lots of corn. Not much else.

Taste is like a cheap pils. More corn than usual because duh it's a malt liquor.

Mouthfeel is high carb and smooth I guess.

Only gunna buy again for drinking games or if I wanna get effed up. Lol. Not the tastiest of beers but it's not like I couldn't finish it. It's whatever.

New ghetto buy here. "Ghetto" being malt liquor, and "new" because I have never had King Cobra before. 40 oz, straight from the bottle like it's meant to be.

Looks reddish-copper through the clear glass, darker than usual for the style. No lacing at all when lifting. Alcohol shows off in the smell, plus corn and a surprising damn near honey note...huh?

Taste is a bit grainy and sweet (think green apple plus sugar), w/ no fusel stuff despite the scent. Not exactly bursting with aggressive flavor, but it let me know it was there at least. As for the go-down, it's fizzier than it looks, considering there's no visible bubbles.

Considering its reputation, it's an accomplishment that it turns out (for the style) not bad. Not being added to rotation, but wasn't a total waste of my 2 bucks either. I feel like if it had a touch more actual malt (enough to bump it up to 7-8% probably) it could catch on to something...

Pours a typical straw yellow color with a thick white head and no lacing. Smells of corn and a little grain. Tastes of corn and grain and some sweet malts. Mouthfeel is thin and watery and has a heavy carbonation. Overall it is a poor beer and ever a poor representative of its style. I really did not enjoy it.

he only thing I do like about King Cobra is the price. The price is very cheap, and you can usually get them for about 2 dollars. I think that King Cobra would only give me a good buzz if I drank on an empty stomach and I downed it fast. Other than that it didn't give me a good buzz. I didn't really like the taste of King Cobra beer. The taste is very watery. It's not a really bad taste like 211 but it lacks any flavor.

Decent, what more can I say. It isn't terrible by any means, but it isn't good either. It has a very heavy smell and taste of corn adjunct, and has an almost tasteless feel going down. However once the brew goes down, the taste changes leaving an aftertaste in your mouth for a while. The swill (the last swallow at the bottom) is terrible. Almost makes you gag. Very carbonated and gives you a very "crisp" feeling in your mouth. It's decent... But nothing wonderful. If you want to get drunk fast, then it would probably work, but other than that, don't bother.
