Busch and Busch Light are both brewed with a blend of premium American-grown and imported hops and a combination of malt and corn to provide a pleasant balanced flavor. Additionally, Busch Light undergoes a longer brewing process that produces a lighter body and fewer calories.

Tiny head that disappears quickly. Urine-yellow color with a lot of rising bubbles.

Smells of damp malts, with some tingling sweetness.

Taste is fairly tolerable, with high carbonation which tickles the tongue.

The mouth feel and taste are the two most tolerable things about this beer. But make no mistake, this is not a good beer.

This is a pale colored lager poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. It has minimal head and had little "bite" or a strong beer taste. A popular "dad's" beer from the 70-90s and still popular with the young adults on a fixed budget. Not horrible, but definitely not a craft beer.

I'll proudly drink it any day - even over a ton of craft brews. It is what it is. For something cheap it is quite good. Get over it snobs, I'm going to buy a 30 pack for $15 at Walmart now ;)

Pours a light golden color with a thin lace of head. That recedes to about nothing. Smells the same as every other adjunct lager. Kinda harsh going down. Not much flavor at all, but has a little bit of bitterness on the back of the tongue. One of the crappiest adjunct lagers I've had.

This is incredibly Cheap beer. Bought a 6 pack just because i wanted beer. Wasn't really expecting much. I don't drink normally, and when i do its either coors extra gold or Coors Banquet. Honestly this is a flavorful Cheap beer. Sometimes i come home after a long days work. I don't spend a ridiculous amount on Booze of any sort, I just want the flavor of beer sometimes. I drank this. After a long 10 hour shift of physically demanding work in a warehouse walking constantly all day for 4 to 5 days a week, this is so good. Also i enjoy these with fishing. I admit i'm biased as this was my first beer. Certainly Beats budweiser and its cheaper. I never have had anything too expensive. Sam adams was the most expensive. Coming home on Night shift, and buying this, and drinking one ice cold, it seems so good. Certainly would buy this over bud light. Bought this drank it ice cold, it certainly makes A nice refreshing beer. for 15 bucks for a 30 pack or 6 for a 12 pack, you can't go wrong. Craft brew drinkers should probably stay away because they like better taste and more hops. But for a guy who just drinks a beer for refreshment, this will do the trick better than bud light, mainly because bud light is more expensive and doesnt have any flavor. Honestly this is better than budweiser. Can't go wrong with it. i buy one every night after work. put in the freezer for a bit. Then I drink it, and it is just a delicious refreshment that goes down smooth crisp and clean. I substitute this with Busch Light or Coors light sometimes. Don't spend a lot of money on booze because i'm saving up for a house. So this is good. When i usually buy coors light this beats that and doesnt have the metallic taste.

This is not "great beer," it is sweet, simple, drinkable beer that is clean, crisp, and doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth. It is very inexpensive, and I've always like it. It's easy to drink, doesn't get caught up in your mouth, and doesn't leave a negative after-taste. I like it as a drinkable "malt beverage," and don't try to make it out as more than it is. There ARE cut-rate beers out there that truly taste horrible, (Natural Light, you know who you are.) It's probably the best "down-market" beer out there. Very inexpensive and drinkable.

Not sure to call this beer, or beer-flavored water. A very very mild bitterness , cornmeal, there's malts in this? I couldn't taste any. It doesn't particularly get more Adjunct than this, and my friends would all joke that it was poison in a can. Oh well, if people drink it and are happy, more power to them.

For some reason, I've always thought this a somewhat better beer than bud, though that's hardly a high bar. Still, as you would expect, this beer is very light and watery, but with a crisp, fairly clean finish. Still a pretty lousy beer, but decidedly average to above average for an AB product.

Extremely pale in color with a fleeting head and minimal head retention and lacing. The smell is dominated by adjuncts with some grains. The taste is extremely light and the moutfeel quite thin with essentially no finish. This is perhaps a great beer fishing or some other outdoor activity since everything tastes better outdoors. Not as "bad" as some would have you believe, but even within its class there are better choices.

Serving Style : 16 oz tall boy can.

Appearance (3) : In the can, but appearance tends to be a pale straw yellow with a large and quickly receding head when poured. Trust me, I know these things.

Smell (2.5): Crisp, clean water. Faint corn, yeast, barley, rice.

Taste (3.25) : Out of the can, it's much better. If you're pouring this one into a glass, you've got the wrong idea. Sharp carbonated water hits first with a rush of faint corn and rice malts, leaving with a faint yeast and dry finish. Real easy to drink.

Mouthfeel (3.25) : Sharp carbonation, painful almost...but then it turns to a smooth, creamy, yet watery brew. It goes down so easy you'd barely think you were having a beer. In fact, it's pretty much like comparing skim milk to whole milk.

Optional extra category :

Drinkability (5) : FIVE. Easy to pound in any situation.

Overall (3.13) : Pounders are best. It is, for sure, a crappy trailer beer. It's got that cheap, bottom of the vat character and skunk flavor. With all that being said, it's extremely easy to drink and I can pound a 16 oz can easy. No sweat. For those evenings (or days, or nights) I feel like a beer that goes down easy and still provides some marginal flavor, Busch is a sure ticket. Good for absolutely nothing else, but what it does, it does with honor.

Very interesting beer. I saw it in a movie can t remember the name but anyways.
I bought a big can 710ml to give it a try. The price is cheap same as the Pabst Blue Ribbon.
The smell is ok. The look of it is about average. First taste was under average. I was totally disappointed about it.
They really should improve it and maybe put the price up. Im willing to pay some extra money on it to have a much better one.
I do NOT recommend that beer.

Had this today, and I enjoyed it. To start off, it's domestic lager from U.S.A, so it gets some bias in my book. It's mostly clear, bright yellow, with a clean aroma. After taste is clean and short as well.

Tastes and feels good. I mean, I drank a whole quart quicker than I expected.

I bought a quart for $1.73 before tax, local; but I would pay $3.25-75.

Don't have much to say about this beer, except that I would recommend it for a party situation, when you want a lot of beer, or something to start off the night.

This is what I refer to as "lake beer" or as my father says "lawnmower beer". Basically a great beer for a hot day spent outdoors. If you worked all day in the 103° heat sweating, tired and soar, and say someone gave you and ice cold can of Busch. You would think the sweet nectar of the gods was being poured down your gullet by the almighty hand of Zeus himself. Okay, maybe I'm embellishing a bit. The taste is average but it's very drinkable and enjoyable. I love all types of beers, even a $2 can of Busch. Next time you find yourself on a hot day get a cooler full of these and you might hear yourself say "you know, this is not bad at all "

Well, believe it or not I never had a regular ol' Busch! Bought a single can in the discount bin for 50 cents a few weeks back. Anyway, sampling right now on 8/18/14. Can chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a vintage 'Busch" thumb-print goblet that I bought for 59c in 'like-new' condition at the local Salvation Army Store about a month ago.

Pours a pale straw-yellow in color with a very thin white head. Some very minor spotty lacing is seen as is the norm for this kind of beer. The aroma is of some light grains for the most part. The taste is pretty much the same and is watery. Light bodied and nothing special.

Had while at a family barbecue some time ago. The only beer I've been too disgusted by to finish. Also gave me heartburn and terrible beer farts. There are better, sometimes even cheaper things out there to drink. Negative 10 out of 5. Recommended only for those with burnt palates and survival experts surnamed Grylls.

Kind of nostalgic about Busch because I drank a lot of it in college and somehow developed a taste for it. You've got to be thirsty to appreciate it. Light mouth feel and rather high carbonation make it a good "beverage" beer, especially refreshing after mowing the lawn in 90-degree heat, or with picnic food outside on a hot day. Almost borders on being a "lite" beer. Kind of a sour aftertaste, but not that bad. Best when drunk quickly, not a beer to be nursed by the connoisseur. Somehow I prefer it to Bud and Coors. This is not a great beer, but one of the most drinkable cheap beers - 12-packs are sometimes on sale for $6.95 at the local Rite Aid. Can't beat that.

Thick head with large bubbles. The head dissipates quickly. Poor lacing. Straw yellow body. Moderate carbonation.

Mild corn. Very faint barley.

Corn dominant. Smooth. Yeasty, fruity beer. One of the better cheap, corn dominant, adjunct lagers. Tastes good ice cold. The flavor sours as the beer warms up.

On the heavier side of light bodied. Smooth. Corn flavor lingers. No hop bitterness.

A good beer for chugging ice cold. A good fishing beer. Not as good as Rolling Rock.

Every town in Germany seems to have their own brewery. Well down here in the south we don't have that option. This beer is affordable blue collar brew that's made about 50 miles from here. It's cheap tasty and effective.

Poured from 12 oz can into schooner glass Appearance: pours a sudsy white head that recedes rapidly with very little lacing. Color is pale straw with abundant carbonation.
Aroma: mild aroma of corn and lightly toasted barley
Mouthfeel: light, watery, and crisp with a quite dry finish.
Flavor: again a mild combination of corn sweetness, sweet barley malt, and some grassiness. Overall: not offensive and not a bad beer for the price range.

Poured from a 16 ounce can purchased for a buck at the local quick mart.

A: Pale, clear yellow with almost no head.

S: Mild with some cereals. No real hop characteristics. Some alcohol.

T: Very bland, not much going on. It is refreshing though.

M: Very watery. A certain crispness from the carbonation.

O: Unimpressive. There are better versions of this style. There are also worse ones.

This is a surprisingly refreshing beer, no it doesn't have much of a strong flavor and it does go down easy. It does remind me of a mountain stream, its really smooth and the almost over carbonation gives it a little extra "pop" thats relaxing. I like it better than big sister Budweiser. Sure its far from great, its really mediocre and a decent choice if you're tight on money. Its also not bad to drink all day while fishing. Its a cheap beer, its drinkable cold and quickly.

I grew up seeing the Busch Beer commercials and never really drank until I was in my mid twenties, fearing that it would be a bad beer. I was really surprised how easy and drinkable Bucsh Beer is and the lack of hangover it produced. It pours light golden, with average carbonation, and a light head. It has a ricey, malty taste, with hints of wheat and sweetness. There is a little edge, with an average aftertaste, and it is not very filling. It's not the worst beer, but not the best beer either, good for when your working out in the hot sun...

Come on guys. Who comes onto beer advocate and rates Busch? This is my go-to 'frat house'. It is beer for the masses that makes you massive. Drink it all the time cuz you' only got a dime. Would you rather drink this puss beer that had SOME flavor or get something more watery for the same price?

I love me some good craft beers. But after two, it's not worth the price. Save the rest of that Sixer! Don't waste what's great! Put the good beer away put a Busch on your plate!

Or cup, can whatever. You get it.

Served from a pint can into a shaker pint glass. The can has very appealing frosty mountain retro art that is colorful and attractive. A semi-aggressive pour produces about a one inch frothy head with medium staying power (reduces quickly but leaves some lingering, almost continuous lace). The beer is an extra pale straw color with moderately high carbonation.

A light whiff of corn on the nose and some sweet corniness in the taste, along with some pale malt and very light floral hops. The flavor is very light and watery as is the mouthfeel. Overall, a bit bland, even for the style.

This brew is light and refreshing- nothing too much to complain about, but it is rather watery. A decent hot weather brew. The watery taste can be a bit of a shock if you've drank something heavier beforehand, but it is thirst quenching, easy to drink, and can sneak up on you (i.e., a highly efficient alcohol delivery system for someone who can really chug down the suds). This beer is one of my alternative cheap AALs, especially in summer. Something to grab when in you're in a small town without much selection and the price is right.
