Busch and Busch Light are both brewed with a blend of premium American-grown and imported hops and a combination of malt and corn to provide a pleasant balanced flavor. Additionally, Busch Light undergoes a longer brewing process that produces a lighter body and fewer calories.

Pours a pale yellow color with a bubbly head that disappears rather quickly. Scent is mild with wheat and some slight citrus hints. Taste is weak, thin, and grainy. This one of those beers that I call “Beer Flavored Water.” On a hot summer day I’m sure you’ll be thankful to have a Busch if you are out of every other form of liquids but that’s about it. Not even a good cheap beer, for the same price you can get Pabst that actually has some flavor to it. Now try to imagine there is a Busch Light, Blah!

I might be the only one on this site to say so, but a camo can makes this beer taste better than it is! Overall, you get what you pay for and this is a cheap beer, but their marketing dollars work on this hunter. Oh well, sometimes it is nice to enjoy a low end beer, in my opinion there is no really bad beer. If you haven't try the camo can!!!

Quality porch beer in the summer. Loses something if not enjoyed from pilsner glass. In a container it tastes too watery and, you lose the flavor of the subtle malts. More of a light pale lager than an adjunct lager to my palate.

If you are in a mood for a non-aggressive beer, this is a good value play.

I like Busch Ice, but I loathe Busch Light. I guess that means I will find Busch middle-of-the-road?

A: Harder than average pour from a 12 oz. can into a 23 oz. pilsner glass results in almost no head at all. Small ring of foam remains on the top. There is lacing, but it is light. Beer is almost still with no bubbles rising to the top from the bottom of the glass. Color is a not unattractive crystal clear yellow that works for the style.

S: Cold iron? Definitely a strong metallic smell. Mild sweetness. Corn. Light grains. Some type of bitter funk. Overall there is little to pick up from the smell.

T: Prior to the glass I'm reviewing, which is ice cold, I drank a can that was quite a bit warmer. Stick with ice cold. This is very much like a light beer. Little to no flavor. For some reason this reminds me of Coors light in that the only tastes are 'cold' and sweet. Some light grain is in there with the corn. Finishes with a sweetness that sticks to your tongue.

M: Carbonation is high which I enjoy as it helps to take the edge off of the sweetness. Just above water in thickness and lightly slick.

O: Busch Ice is the best representation of the Busch brand. Busch is OK, definitely better than Busch Light. I don't know why they even bother to make Busch Light when Busch has an ABV of only 4.6%. You aren't going to catch a buzz off of this one, which is another reason to go for the Ice version at the same price. This beer serves as a pretty good palate cleanser and goes good with non-fancy food (BBQ, wings.) At $14.99 for a 30 pack things could be worse.
