Raspberry Wheat delivers the same smooth taste of Shock Top, with a hint of raspberry flavor. This traditional Belgian-style wheat ale is brewed with essence of wild raspberry and hand-selected hops. It’s this combination that gives it its crisp and distinctive Shock Top taste, with its own flavorful twist. This unfiltered ale has a light-golden color and a smooth finish, and if you’re curious, it technically doesn’t, not count toward your daily fruit intake.

Bought a 6-pack of this brew from Schnucks Culinary in St. Louis, MO for $6.99. Poured one of the 12 FL. OZ. bottles with the Shock Top character, raspberries, and a summer time background label into a 16oz Tulip Glass. Has 11299 on the back of the bottle.

Aroma- Has a very pure and far from artificial raspberry aroma! Sweet but seems like I just picked some and about to enjoy! A nice wheat character follows this up.

Appearance- Pours a 2 finger head that dies quickly. Has a light-medium orange colored body with bit of hazy. Leaves only very few suds on the glass.

Flavor- Has the average grainy and wheat flavor but then is supported by a nice raspberry flavor. No hops are found and as simple as that, finishes off sweet and crisp.

Mouthfeel- Light Bodied, High Carbonation, Smooth, and then has a small amount of lip smacking sweetness.

Overall Impression- Where did this come from?!?! I've had both the original Shock Top and also the Pumpkin version and they were not up to par at all! This one was very nice and good all around. If this one just had a tad more body, the flavor could be more distinct but of course, I'm wishing this often with many AB products. Go for it if you have the chance!

One of my all time favorite beers. Always watching for it to return. Crisp citrus flavor with raspberry.

Beautiful orange color, mixed properly and poured gives it a beautiful cloudy glow. Strong fruity aromas fill the area. Before the spices mix, it's rather acidic and sour. After, though, it's noticably sweet, fruity, and smooth. The flavor was more of a tangerine, and was a bit confusing. More drinks never hurt the experience. Was really impressed with the overall drinking experience. No lingering bitterness, or unpleasant flavors. Will buy again, given I can find it.

Appearance of light hazy yellow with white cap and some lacing.

Aroma is surprising. If you handed this to me blind I would've said blueberry rather than raspberry. Two other tasters whose opinion I sought said apple or "something". It is a pleasant scent though no matter how described.

Taste is where I get raspberry. Not a sharp, tart raspberry, rather a creamy sweetened flavor. Hop presence is minimal. The slight prickly sensation I get may be hops, or carbonation and I suspect the latter. Of course it's a fruit dominant taste and one shouldn't be surprised. It is lightly textured, heavily flavored and just a bit more sweet than I like. I wonder if it would be more appealing if the color was red. Anyway, it is what it is.

Lighter side of medium texture. More carbonation might make it more mouth filling but I can't say that would make the flavor stand out more.

Overall it's a decent, well made, highly fruit flavored wheat beer that wasn't designed to sip and savor, rather to drink and enjoy.

If you like the taste of sweet, kind of artificial raspberry dominating your beer, so much so that you cannot taste any other aspects of the beer, then this is absolutely the brew for you. Poorly made fruit beer. Choked down about half a bottle before drain pouring the rest.
