Notes/Commercial Description:
Our Pumpkin Wheat seasonal offering combines the smooth taste of Shock Top with the flavors of Fall. Orange, caramel color. Descent head with good retention and creamy appearance.

Smell is mostly spicy with nutmeg and cinammon.

Caramel malt flavor is sweet. Spices come in the middle as described in the smell. Hint of pumpkin and roasted almonds. Yeasty flavor. Weak hops, faint earthy tone. Descent balance on the spice heavy end of things.

Light to medium consistency with a slick feel. Medium carbonation.

I wasn't expecting much here but this beer is actually not that bad. Descent flavor and depth. Above average among pumpkin beers. Not a favorite style of mine so I won't be going back to it regularly but descent for what it is.

You can tell that this is a speciality, seasonal brew that is produced by a mass manufacturer. It looks like a great pumpkin ale, as it is a deep orangish-amber color with a nice tannish head on top.

It was hard to really smell the spices in it, and the taste was about the same. The spices, which were a very light cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, cloves, were just above a threshold of tongue interaction. Mass produced will have that problem of spiciness.

Not quite as thick or fulfilling as others, but average at best. Is okay to try, but like I said, average at best in the seasonal category.

Appearance: Hazy golden orange with a large, persistent off-white cloud-top head. The lacing is thick and patchy, there is very slight carbonation and a bit of haze.

Aroma: Moderate pumpkin spice, cinnamon and nutmeg dominate. There is also a moderate bread malt presence.

Taste: Opens with lots of wheat malt, xinnamon, lesser nutmeg. As the taste progresses, the spices, other than the cinnamon, fade a bit and the wheat malt dominates. Finishes with a slight note of herbal bitterness,

Mouth feel: Smooth and pleasant, perhaps a bit thin.

Drinkability/notes: Pleasant and drinkable and better than I would have expected. This demonstrates that Anheuser-Busch can make good beer, if they want to.

Presentation: Packaged in a custom twelve-ounce brown glass bottle, served in a Pilsener glass.

Appearance - Pours an amber/copper color with almost no head. Lacing is very nice.

Smell - Cinnamon, ginger, clove, and pumpkin.

Taste - Caramel, strong cinnamon flavor, ginger, clove, nutmeg, and feint pumpkin.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with medium carbonation.

Overall - This seems like more of a winter warmer but it's a pretty decent beer.

Poured into a pint glass.

Hazy, nearly opaque copper color. White head that dissolves into a ring. Above average lacing.

Smells of cloves, cinnamon, and pumpkin.

Lots of ginger. Faint pumpkin, the spices are pretty forward in this one. Lots of clove and cinnamon. The Belgian white portion lends a surprisingly bright citrus taste.

This beer's got a lot of bubbles. It's thin of body and dry on the pallette.

This beer's ok. There are better pumpkin beers around, but this beer is easy to drink and flavorful enough to think about.

This isn't a bad holiday type beer. It has something many A-B products don't have...flavor.

Doesn't look like much. Nice coppery color but the head is small and fades quickly. Hardly any lacing.

Aroma and taste are holiday potpourri spices. Pleasant enough and certainly robust. Mouthfeel is good for this type of beer. Crisp and rich enough.

Overall, I am not a big fan of pumpkin beers and this one lacks the pumpkin flavors, just the spices are present. As a holiday beer, I have had worse. It is pleasant enough. I would have no problem drinking one again.
