Bud Light Platinum
LOOK: Blue bottle poured into a clear plastic cup. Palest of yellows bordering on white. Almost looks like a witbier , but with a bit more clarity. Head crackles and fizzes to nothing.
SMELL: Aroma of cereal grains, rice wine, with mild vegetal notes. A bit stronger smell than most light lagers, bordering on malt liquor territory.
TASTE: cloying sweetness, twang of spent hop, rice and cereal grain soda with a small hint of alcohol. Light overall flavors but the flavors that do remain are not very tasty.
FEEL: Light bodied, watery, lingering creamed corn flavor, well carbonated.
OVERALL: Imagine the palest maibock in the world devoid of all traditional flavors. Take this and add sugar and rice, and you have the platinum. Swill that will surely catch some amateurs off guard. Avoid this beverage if you can, otherwise you will be engulfing sub par quaffs.
Serving type: bottle
