12oz Bottle from CJ's Potsdam NY for 1.75$
Appearance – Hazy amber colour with an above average size fizzy/frothy light beige coloured head. I can't make out the amount of carbonation and there is some faint lacing. The head lasted for around 3-4 minutes before it was gone. There are also a lot of particles floating around.
Smell - Malts, caramel, dark fruits?
Taste & Mouth - The beer has a slightly above average amount of carbonation. I can taste grains/bread mixed with malts, ripe banana?, and hops. There is also a touch of dark fruits and some caramel. The taste is all over the place.. and it's bad. It ends with a malty aftertaste and a bit of lingering bitterness.
Overall – Wow.. just wow. This beer is a mess. The taste is all over the place and I'm not sure I've ever had anything quite like it. It honest tastes like someone mixed a bad IPA with a bad wit beer on the spot. Not something I'd buy again. On the bright side, the appearance wasn't bad.
