12 ounce bottle - $1.79 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a hazed, medium-dark brown with a few fingers of airy, off-white foam.
Smell: Not particularly effusive, this one. A little touch of unsalted saltines, a bit of stale chocolate powder, and some slight spicy notions.
Taste: Modest wheat malt tasted coated in a thin veneer of sweetish chocolate. Slight fruitiness. Then, there's a spiciness that makes one smile. Mainly, as to play it safe, they muted that spice character down as far as they could. Thanks, focus groups. The spice passes quickly, going back to the middling tastes of wheat, chocolate, and vague fruitiness until the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: Focus groups.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, End of the World is very lightly colored for a beer that advertises "midnight wheat and chocolate malt", it's amber-brown at best. The head is thin and non-active. Rather than a nice semi-liquid yeast at the bottom of a wheat beer that you can gently swirl in, this beer has large chunky particulate that takes forever but eventually settles to the bottom of the glass - not very appealing. The nose is unremarkable for a chili and spiced beer, wheat and weak chocolate malt notes is all I'm getting. The taste is a little more interesting with some spicy notes and chili flavors coming through; seems overly bitter as a side effect from the spices. Mouthfeel is thin and carbonation is minimal, chunky bits lose points. Overall a miss by AB on this one in my opinion.
