It pours a light apricot/orange colour, and the head is very insubstantial. It only forms a small layer on top of the beer. It is slightly hazy, but less hazy than a typical hefeweizen.

The aroma is dominated by citrus and a bit of yeast. It smells quite refreshing, and some light malted wheat aroma mellows out the sharp citrus notes.

The flavour is light and fragrant with a hint of hop bitterness. It doesn't have a strong malt backbone, but is slightly sweet towards the end. It is very bubbly as it rolls across the tongue, and on the thin side.

Overall, it's highly drinkable. However, not an expecially great hefeweizien.

Orange golden colour, nice big head, nice carbonation. A classic hefe.

Smell is mainly malty, but with delicate aroma of banana, a bit of citrus and herbs, coriander.
Taste is malty, but a decent kick of herbs and spice as well.
A rather rough hefe, I would say. It's got a bite in the aftertaste.
A pretty good one. Certainly not ordinary, allthough it's not very balanced, it has some interesting aspects (spice).

Cloudy golden orange with a huge puffy head. Pouring the rest of the bottle into the glass after a few sips only seems to agitate the beer further and produce another colossal head. Awesome.

Your typical hefe smells of banana, wheat, clove, slight citrus, smoke and soap. In the mouth, banana again, backed up by bread and a bit of pepper and clove. Dryish finish with long notes of earthy hop and citric, wheaty sourness. A little less refreshing than others of the style, possibly due to this unusually long, lingering flavor.

Medium in the mouth with a little zing of carbonation with each sip. Smooth. I'm having it for breakfast with homemade Merguez sausage with a bit of baguette and mustard. An appropriate beer for sure. Not quite as rounded and refreshing as the better locally available examples of the style I've had, though.

500ml bottle, best before December 2012.

This beer pours a misty, yet bright, medium golden amber, with three fingers of slick, shiny white whipped egg yolk head, which settles at an agreeable canter, leaving some ambitious geologic arches of lace around a portion of the glass.

It smells of grainy wheat malt, banana muffin, mild lemon oil, earthy clove, and subtle musty hops. The taste is fruity wheat, further mild banana esters, a bit of yeast, pleasantly muddled spice - I get more clove and some pepper, mostly, with a soft earthy dryness rounding things out.

The carbonation is a tad zesty at first, but drifts into a more somniferous state soon enough, the body a decent medium weight, no more, no less, and adequately smooth. It finishes off-dry, yes, but between the edgy, spicy wheat, and the latent ambiguous hops, it's not by much.

An enjoyable, fruity, well-balanced hefeweizen, which really has no problem showcasing what the wheat can do for you.

Poured into a wiezen glass. Pours a hazy medium golden amber. Nice two finger coarse head with moderate retention, leaving nice lacing. Aroma of wheat, banana, light fruit and clove. Taste is citric wheat with light malt and wheat. Finish is rather dry with light citrus and a light hops and clove bite. Somewhat subdued flavors with wheat dominating; dryer and less fruit flavors than other hefeweizens. Nicely carbonated, contributing to a medium, above average body for a hefeweizen. An interesting different take on the style.
