T: like fizzy pink grapefruit juice, light wheat beer aftertaste, quite sweet

M: thin and bubbly

O: light and refreshing, more of a fruit beer, great taste if you like grapefruit juice

The only thing it's missing is that beautiful alcohol content that gets you buzzing. I personally would recommend this beer with a floater of vodka. Cheers boys! On to the next one.

This is like the shandy of all shandy's. Really tasty and refreshing. I could see this getting too overbearing on the sweetness though, as this is more juice than beer. Really great grapefruit flavor though, and doesn't taste artificial like so many others out there.

Would absolutely seek out and purchase again. Although with the low ABV, this is more of a hot day refreshment, not a go to beer.

This wasn't what I expected at all. The best attribute is its look, which is an amber and orange with a foamy head. Aroma is ok, mainly grapefruit. From there it goes downhill for me. It tastes like orange crush much less like grapefruit. I detected neither hops, wheat or any other beer flavors. The feel is light and easy. The low ABV gave me no buzz whatsoever. Despite its lightness, I cannot call it so drinkable because of the cloying artificial sweetness. Not for me.

Best before end: 11/2015. 3.2% ABV per the label.

Pours a murky orange with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of grapefruit, grapefruit juice, and grapefruit candy aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, grapefruit juice, and grapefruit soda flavors on the finish. There is a very mild amount of earth bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty and super easy to drink, but it is much more like a grapefruit soda than beer in my opinion.

Serving type: bottle.

not sure how this stuff is coming into prominence, i know the style is in, especially in the summer, but this is pretty rough stuff. i agree that the grapefruit side of it seems authentic, not artificial, but the thing is way too sweet, and its more of a juice than a beer, not much of the hefe coming through the orange juice textured beverage. i mean, this is almost pulpy in feel, beyond shandy, and the only part of the beer side i really get is the yeast, which exacerbates the fruity side. so much sugar on the back end, heavy in the gut, weirdly acidic, it just doesnt resolve like i hoped it would. ive been a fan of radler and shandy generally, we need more stuff like that, but this one is downright undrinkable. too sweet to be refreshing, but thats just my palate. as far away from beer as anything ive had marketed as such.

Drank a few of these at the Columbus World Beer Fest while waiting in line for a couple of better beers. Extremely pleasing drink, highly drinkable, surprisingly tasty. Red grapefruit, and much more in a sweet delectable way than a citrusy or hoppy way.

It reminded me more of a wine cooler than it did a beer. Very flavored. Nice finish. Your girlfriend will probably like it more than you will.

L: ruby orange/pink grapefruit color, mid/high carbonation, large creamy thick 2 finger head.
N: dry, tart, ruby red grapefruit, soft wheat & oats.

T: ruby red grapefruit, very crisp, slight dryness, oats/wheat, slight creaminess to it, very refreshing.

B: medium body, slight dry/prickly crispness, incredibly refreshing

Overall: this beer is begging to be consumed in mass quantities in summer, right up there with Stiegl Radler. Bring me the heat & beach!

Enjoyed this hefe quite alot. Was looking for a light change of pace. Although sweet and aromatic and a tiny bit syrupy...the smell, taste and added complexity as it warmed up was a nice surprise. Definitely will have this again!

Look like orange listerine, smells like barf, tastes sweet, sour and delicious. This is a nice transition beer to get kid sister off the stronger Mikes Hard Lemonade and into a nice beer gut inducing brew.

Bonus points. Show up any Blue Moon drinker. Bring a grapefruit and hunting knife to the party. Now you're garnishing like a man!

330 ml bottle served cold into a pint glass. Purchased for $2.25 CDN from the local LCBO.

Appearance - fluorescent orange, hazy as he'll with a small half finger of white head. Poor retention although not surprising given low ABV. A few lively bubbles are present too.

Smell - grapefruit and nectarine. Pretty good smelling actually.

Taste - grapefruit and lemon comes through here but the bitter tartness just isn't sharp. There's some sweetness that comes through and gives it a sweetened orange like taste. Taste doesn't linger nor is intense. Sweetness intensifies too much and instead of this being refreshing like a radler, it's great for the first two seconds after it hits your lips then the sweetness is too much.

Mouthfeel - lively and spritzy carbonation, feels really good going down the back of the throat. A sickly sweet syrupy feel though shows up a bit at the end.

Overall - an interesting concept, not quite a hefeweizen, but not fully delegated to be a Radler, it's interesting to try, but the sweetness is overkill to my lips.

Very refreshing. Great grapefruit taste. Tend to have fruity, shandy type beers with pasta and this went great.

Poured into tumbler. Pinkish orangish color. Half finger of head that stuck around. Mouth feel was bubbly foamy and medium to actually heavy sort of. Tasted like bitter but also sweet grapefruit then subtle beer taste. I like it and it was so easy to drink finished the six pack over the period of a night easily since the such low alcohol content.

Great grapefruit taste with a crisp sparkling feel to it. If you want something very tasty to drink with low alcohol this is perfect. Almost like a grapefruit champaign.

It's been a while since having it that I review it, so it will be a short and informal description regarding the beer itself.

A great mix of grapefruit flavors with a mild beer. Extremely mild (undetectable) alchol taste, nice mellow tasty beer flavor, will a full scoop of grapefruity-goodness.

If you're into beer and not soda/pop —yet still want something extremely fruity and refreshing— I recommend this over grapefruit radlers like Steigl or Waterloo which were too sweet and soda-like.

I liked the pink grapefruit look to this. If you can get past the fact that they use cochineal extract for the coloring you'll find out the grapefruit taste is paired well with the bitterness of the beer. I will most defintly buy more of this beer. Some may say this is more of a fruity malt beverage then a beer. The alcohol content is low also.
