Poured from 500mL can into a pint glass.
Appearance: medium yellow-orange hue with plenty of haze and a thick finger of pillowy white foam. A very nice looking beer, if a bit on the orange side for a hefeweizen (though this should be expected).
Smell: big, rich grapefruit aroma with a little bit of malty, wheaty undertone. The grapefruit is quite strong, like a San Pellegrino pompelmo soda. This beer is definitely as-advertised.
Taste: there's a surprisingly good hefeweizen base, with a good wheaty character with a great banana quality. Over this is the refreshing grapefruit flavor, which really works for me. Nice!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a big, satisfyingly creamy carbonation. Boom!
Overall: I really like this beer, and I find it delightfully refreshing. I happen to really enjoy radlers, shandies and the like, and this beer is no exception; radlers almost belong in their own category.

This beer really surprised me. I got a sample at The Wurst Place (Seattle) after I was told it was one of only 2 beers that have a permanent handle there out of 23 craft beers. 2.5%? Really? How good could it be? It was awesome. Well, that's IF you like grapefruit juice which I do. They called it their "breakfast beer". It poured a hazy, light pink/orange and seriously tasted just like grapefruit juice. I had a .5 litre in the Schöfferhofer glass and totally enjoyed it.
