Palate light to medium, creamy, lively carbonation
Appearance 3.5, Aroma 3.5, Flavor 3.5, Palate 3, Overall 3.375. Final weighted score: 3.425
Although I love grapefruit if that was all I wanted, I’d have eaten one. The grapefruit is definitely present, overriding all the hefeweizen characteristics except cloudiness – no yeast phenolics are to be found.

I would certainly agree this should be in the Fruit Beer category. You can't actually taste whether it's made with Hefeweizen, Old Ale, or Qvass. But as a citrus-flavored, low-alcohol brew, it's quite pleasant.
Flavors to me are more of orange with a grapefruit tang. It's quite sweet, though plenty acidic. Actually it tastes exactly like those tropical Hawaiian sodas. Sweet and fizzy, with a sharp edge. Appearance is nice, even if it's colored to look like fruit juice. Big frothy head that lasts well and a suitably fizzy mouthfeel.
If you're thirsty, this would be a great alternative to a juice drink or flavored tea. From the 16 oz can purchased at Special Brews in Lynwood, Washington.
