Pretty average i think, i usd to drink it a lot, but every time i have it, i like it less and less, very edgy watery character, with a bit of a yeasty wheat, and banana character.

nice smell, beautiful mouthfeel, but lacking in the taste department. It's just another Wheat beer, but it's a little too subtle for my likings. a banana flavour, averagly hopped, malt and wheat present.

a nice beer, but nothing really stands out.

Pours a finger and half of head on a clear light straw colored body.
The aroma is a nice wheat smell with some notes of banana.
The flavor is weak. A little metallic, inappropriate bitterness in the middle. Wanders.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
The taste was a letdown.

I tasted this beer at Brauhaus and it was actually from Paul's glass; he ordered it after his
Pilsner Urquell which was pretty disappointing. This Kristalweizen was not sour like the
Franziskaner KristallWeizen that Junde had during my first sitting at Brauhaus. It pours out
not as cloudy as the Hefes which is expected but the carbonation was significantly furious.
When I tasted it, I felt that it had an immediate refreshing touch to it; more than the typical
German Weizen. The after taste contains a subtlety of wheat. On the whole the taste seems a
bit watered down and bland for me. I need something with more taste to it but this one's
exactly what Paul likes. Although he was disappointed with the Urquell, he felt that this
Kristallweizen was something truly impressionable.
(Disclaimer: I did not have enough of this beer to write a review. This review is based on
what I feel from what I have tasted and I am writing it because I probably would not be
having this beer again.)

Pours a light golden color with a decent amount of foamy white head that laces the glass. Smells of wheat malt and sweet yeast, with a faint hint of banana. Tastes clean and sweet with some banana and yeast flavors there. Mouthfeel is fizzy with lots of tingling on the tongue, just like a weizen should be. Overall, it's a very drinkable beer, and a very nice kristallweizen.

It has a straw yellow colored body with lots of creamy white head. The aroma is sweeter than the hefe and not as spicy. The taste is not as banana and or orange like but is equally as fruity with different fruit esters that were hard for me to put my finger on. Maybe more lemon than orange in flavor. There is still a little bit of clove tones. It is on the heavy end of being light bodied with smooth carbonation. It a refreshing beer for a day of bahnhof hopping.

pours clear gold with a smaller white head than the hefe. the head though is just as stable and is there for all 500ml.
lots of carbonation in this.
real nice clove and banana yeasty aroma. i can immediately taste bananas as i burp (pardon me).
spicy refreshing flavor with just enough dryness.
mouthfeel is bubbly and effervescent and smooths (as does the flavor) as it warms.
overall, this is pretty darn good. just lacks the punch of the hefe.

Awe, it's finally nice to have a real German beer for once here in Korea, especially after the heat wave caused by our pesky northern neighbors. As I was walking by my local Class 6 (military liquor store) I could see from the window pillars of newly shipped beer, and I could see the Hefe and Kristall shouting my name. Anyhow, it was a good day. First off I'll give this Kristallweizen a thought.

Appearance wise this looks pretty fresh, especially something exported from Germany all the way over here to Korea. There is much co2 which produces a moderate head, not like my favorite Hefe of course. This brew is golden in body and ultra crystal clear.

Schofferhofer Kristall gives off an aroma of a freshly baked sweet roll, with subtle hints of banana.

This tastes a bit citrusy, somewhat lemony in nature.

Kristall kind of reminds me of drinking champagne; likewise, very rich in carbonation and easily agitated.

Overall this is a very refreshing beer, especially on a nice moderately warm afternoon. The Germans serve this type of beer with a wedge of lemon, which highlights the citrusy flavor.

The beer started a bit above average with a clear straw color and a creamy white head. The head took off about half way through the glass and left no trace of existence with lace or even a couple of bubbles. It has kind of a week fruity fragrance that I almost had to dig for. The taste consisted of a slight fruit/citrus/bitter combination. Although it is a rather crisp drinkable beer, my opinion is that it is somewhat average and I will stick with its companion the Schöfferhofer Hefeweizen.

This extremely pale beer poured with a very thick, but fluffy, head. Retention was nothing spectacular, but respectable. The clarity was amazing to me but this the first Kristallweizen I had had. After learning that it was heavily filtered I was less impressed with the clarity.

There are a lot of aromas coming out of this beer. A lot of fruit, mostly banana I'd say. Very fresh smelling. Not getting much hops but a lot of pale malt fruity flavors and, of course, the typical wheat scents.

The taste is very smooth and very crisp. The banana fruit flavors are the most dominant in this fizzy, almost sparkling like a belgian-style, beer.

The mouthfeel is, again, fizzy and crisp.

Overall, a pretty good beer but nothing stand-out. I'd say about average in the style if I had to guess.

Appearance: Clear pale golden color, with a creamy white head. It looks slightly watery for a kristal weizen

Smell: Citrus and cloves.

Taste/Mouthfell: Citrus and cloves like the smell. The aftertaste is kind of off though, with a slight metallic flavor. The mouthfeel is a little thicker than I'd expect from a kristal, especailly from one as pale in color as this one.

Drinkability: The metallic aftertaste kills the chance of me trying this beer again.

Pours clear pale golden with generous white head with excellent retention, strings of small carbonation bubbles rising. Aroma is fresh citrusy and yeasty, some clove as well.

Taste is citrus yeast, touch of herbal bitterness that lasts into the aftertaste, mild fruitiness, sweetness becomes more apparent in the finish. Mouthfeel is light-medium with moderate carbonation.

Overall, it is good, but somewhat seemed too mild and lacking flavour in the beginning, but I started to enjoy it much more towards the end of the glass.

A-Lots of bubbles at first. Yellow color. Almost no foam.
S-Mostly pale malt with some fruits, apple mostly.
T/M-Bitter aftetaste, crisp and refreshing. Grains in the mouth.
Malty. Medium carbonation. I am missing whet in the taste.

O-Decent. Classic German pilsener.

Bottle sidepoured into a Schöfferhofer Kristallweizen pint glass.

A: Pours a 3.5 finger head of fair cream and decent thickness. Clear yellow colour. A nice upward bubble show.

Sm: Wheat, crystal hops. Standard fare for the style.

T: Clean open to a one note body of barley with a crystal malt generic finish. All around it's rather bland.

Mf: Fizzy coarseness with a strange wet/dry balance. Quite wet on the finish, which fails to coax the next sip out of you. Light on the palate.

Dr: It does hide its ABV well, and you could down a pint easily as it's not overcarbonated, but you wouldn't want to unless your only alternatives were American macro shitebeer (can we go ahead and make this a style on beeradvocate?).
