Looked nice, good head and retention, smelled nice, nice classic banana, roast and clove.
But the taste was a big let down. It was really watery, so the wheatiness was weak, and there was just a flash of roasted malts, with dark cocoa powder and coffee notes, going away fast. The fruitiness is weak, faint banana, but a (very) lot of lemon zest. Traditional spiciness also low. Hops provide an average bitterness along with the roast, but that's it.
A pretty mediocre dunkelweizen, one that I won't be having again. Their hefeweizen is better though.

This beer pours a nice medium brown with a great wheat beer head that lasts and leaves a nice lacing . It really has a wonderful hazy brown color that is hard to describe.
It smell of nuts and fruits and great fresh wheat fields. Its taste is just as wonderful with even more malt along with the wheat and nutty fruits. It goes down smooth and leaves you wanting another every time. If you want a dark wheat this is one of the best.

Appearance: Chestnut; cloudy; medium tan frothy head
Aroma: Malt; cloves; banana
Taste: Starts off juicy and malty; thin in the mid; reminiscent of a wheat, but nothing overly impressive; refreshing, but not complex
Remarks: Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores

A: Pour is murky brown with a really large off-white creamy head that slowly sinks into nice lacings.
S: Ripe sweet bananas, from the wheat. Citric fruits. A bit smoked ham. Spices.
T: Kind of weak taste; ripe sweet bananas and oranges. Dark bread and again; the smoked ham.
M: Aftertaste is short and kind of rough, bitter. Body is light and carbonation medium.
O: Not bad, but farm from the best!

The beer is clouded brown, has a white head that leaves some lacing.
The smell is fruity, banana and orange, slightly spicy.
The taste is rather malt dominated, brown bread, some ripe oranges and pears.
Medium carbonation, a soft texture and a good body.
A good allround hefe.

Sidepoured into a Schöfferhofer Weizenbier Dunkel glass from a bottle at SXF airport, Berlin.
A: Three finger head of nice cream and decent thickness. Very hazy caramel-brown colour.
Sm: Wheat, cream, hops. Moderate strength scent. Kind of disturbs the nose, almost to point of sneezing.
T: Wheat body, then an absence of flavour before the blond barley finish comes in. Poorly balanced. A very poor approach to a dunkelweizen. I'm learning to despise this style as a bastardization of the dunkel style.
Mf: Coarse, more dry than a dunkel ought to be. Stalls on the tongue, forcing you to endure its foul flavour.
Dr: Horribly priced, though in fairness I purchased it at an airport. But sweet bejaysus, lads, leave this one where it belongs - on the shelf.

Best thing about this beer is its appearance. Poured with a huge, foamy, frothy, thick, fluffy, cream colored head that lasts a long time and good lace. Color at first is a copper amber. Aroma is very mild with malt, a bit roasty, and yeast. Not much else. Flavor is like aroma and I wonder why they even bothered. Body and carbonatoin are ok. Finish is like flavor and short. Forgettable.

pours a beautiful head of dough bread mass cloudy caramel color. nose is floral, mild pepper, citrus, and burnt coriander. palate of gritty burnt malt and coriander. dry as ever. mild wheat malt sweet, bitter green orange peel finish and wheat husk. Sharp... not particularly broad for a dunkelweiss... malt properties fall short. yet the dryness is quite appealing. a palate cleanser if anything.
