Poured from 22oz bottle into Duvel glass.
Golden color. Medium head.
Smells floral, sweetly malty.
Taste is balanced. Apple-y malt flavors, countered by subtle hops.
Medium body. Wish it was a bit lighter. Decent beer, but nothing that notable or original.

Pours an effervescent amber with 2 fingers+ of pearl colored head. Great head retention, murks a bit, stellar lacing
S: Pears, yeastiness, breadyness. Golden delicious apples too once warm
T: Follows the nose, some pomelo & lemon up front. Some bitter melon as this warms, green apple, white grape & lemon as this warms, some cantaloupe as well. Finishes a little dry with pomelo, grapefruit, white pepper, & pear, plus some phenols
MF: Medium body, lively carbonation
Super drinkability, ABV is well hidden, so much to like in this one, unless you just want a brett overload. Lovely

Ripe and slightly over ripe fruit dominate the nose. Pours brilliant gold under a rapidly dissipating finely bubbled white head with a slight yellow tint. Layers of ripe to over ripe peach and other fruits start the palate with caramel and a hint of biscuit in the background. Orange comes forward in the middle with a suspicion of cherry. Slightly sweet in the middle but is balanced by a slightly tart finish. No big bitterness but there is a slight astringency in the finish. Very effervescent with a medium body.

This is an extra-large Saison with all the right notes. Sweet-edged but tangy. Spicy and fruity. Robust yeasty flavor. And a subtle whiff of the barnyard. Amber brew with a nice sparkle in the mouth.
Some nice apricot and pineapple aromatics. Lovely balance of sweet and hot, but it dries out completely for the finish. From the 22 bottle bought at New Seasons Market in Portland.

This pours a nice tan amber in color. There’s a bit of a spicy characteristic to it, with a caramel/toffee note on the aroma that’s met with a pleasing earthiness. I liked how unique a beer this was—it hit the ‘barleywine’ notes but took its own path.

i really didnt dig this one a whole lot. it lacks that saison yeast character, instead coming across sweet and underdone. doesnt really fit the farmhouse bill too well. lots of grain character in it though, which i think more saisons could adopt, but the sweetness lingers and the alcohol is really exposed in this rather one dimensional mess. i have liked everything these guys have done until now, and so was expecting a bit more of this, especially on tap, but but just isnt panning out. either a longer fermentation, a higher pitch rate, or a more robust strain is needed to make this what it claims to be. the alcohol too is just a lot to trudge through, especially as it warms up. i was let down by this one.

This is an OK beer, but it's a bit on the sweet side, with a lot of honey and mandarin orange flavor. A bit more hoppy bitterness would do this beer a world of good.
