Gigantic just took one GIGANTIC step into the crowded VT market. I love new choices.

Pours a light copper with a huge 'effin head into my glass. Is it just me or are you happy to be foamy? Ok, that sucked. No more jokes.

This one borders more on the pine side of the hop fence with just a slight touch of citrus. Smells about right for the Oregon coast.

The taste confuses the mind though. Very clean, crisp with a mango-like aftertaste. Definitely a bit of citrus. Bread. The usual staples of a good IPA.

Lingering bread and citrus. Yum. I like this.

I welcome our Gigantic overlords with open hands. Fucking right it's worth a shot if hops are your forte.

Pale golden straw colored, no sediment, but good head retention with average lacing and effervescence.

Smells are metallic, grassy and floral, all somewhat muted.

Taste is fairly sharp up front with a prevalent notion of noble hops, giving the taste profile a souped-up pilsener theme that I kind of dig. Mild background of pineapple and conifer forest and dried fruit, apples mostly.

Moderate in the mouth, rinses clean and it lets the hopping hit fairly jaggedly. I'd say it's pretty well what an IPA should be in that regard.

Overall there's not a ton here, but per the style it's a solid representation. I have no real huge complaints, nor any huge raves. Solid enough offering.

22 from Stankonia...Thanks Chris!! Poured into my little Stone tap-takeover glass.. great white head... perfectly clear orange brew.. nice lacing.

Nose is a big melon bowl punctuated with some tangerine zest...

Flavor mirrors the nose.... very fruity hoppiness... surprisingly low bitterness given the PNW heritage... juicy fruits... melon, tangerine, cara oranges, some background pineapple..

Body is good and so is the carbonation.

I've had this one a couple of times but never given in much thought until tonight and I should punch myself... this is a great IPA... very very fruity... Folks need to pay better attention to Gigantic.

nice complextion like of orange and tatse of light citrus, it was great tasting, well balanced, Not to hoppy, weak, or bitter. It tatsed real similar to a sierra navaeda. I would buy it to try but probley not have again a decent beer. i thought it would be hoppier or stronger but no just a simple ipa

The Government store at Cambie and Broadway just got some in ( though you have ask as they are still in the back room). This is a smooth drinking IPA that shows the hops but smoothes out the ride on the back end with the malt. Not mind blowing but still pretty darn good and one I will buy again. The citrus notes are there at the first sniff but expand with warmth and with each sip. A classy IPA from a brewer that is creating some buzz in the PNW.

A: Bronze with an off-white head, some retention, great lace.

S: Tangerine, mango and hints of pine needles.

T: Tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, biscuit, good bitterness, alcohol is subtle.

M: Highly attenuated and dry, with lots of hop acidity.

O: It`s so acidic I`d expect more hop flavour & aroma...

Poured from the bottle into a nonic pint glass.

A real nice four finger off white head, foams merringue like out of the bottle into the glass, settling nicely with a big cap. Good retention on this, sitting on a very tangerine and oapque orange amber body. Some fast rising carbonation coming up, but mostly hard to see, but a very nice looking brew.

Very solid IPA nose, citrus hop orange fruit, and a mild sweetness. Some good sense of sweet oils and zest. Pretty straightforward but really solid, and maybe a bit of earthy quality.

There's a little bit of fight with this one on the palate, but it controls itself on the finish. Mid palate bounces with a soft juicy hop profile, but also a bit of jarring astringency. Finishes clean and somewhat rich, with a sense of fruit tropical. Malt backbone peeks out just a bit to give some balance. Carbonation seems fairly moderate and doesn't detract. Some dirt like finish on the aftertaste.

Overall though just a real simple and solid tasting IPA worth having.

Pours cloudy orange with a big sticky off white head.

A little bit of malty sweetness in the aroma more than balanced out by fresh citrus hops. Not a ton of complexity, but the citrus is nice.

Starts off with a bit of citrus followed by a little malty sweetness then BAM intense grapefruit and pine hops finishing very dry. Grapefruit pith lingers on the back of the tongue. Excellent.

Dry and hoppy perfect for a west coast IPA. Medium to light bodied.

Very tasty beer and much more than I was expecting. Not all aspects shine, but it has one of the best finishes of any IPA's I've tried recently.

Despised 22oz bottle. Poured into 10oz goblet. Poured a lightly hazy medium gold color with 3/4 inch of off-white head that had OK retention and decent lacing.

Citrusy hops dominated the aroma, there wasn't really a notable malt presence. The taste was mostly hops, some malt showed through, but not enough to hold my interest. In other words, a typical PNW hop bomb.

The body was also typical for the style, thin with much backbone, and had nicely dry finish. Drinkability was good, even though the beer was very hop-dominant, it didn't burn out the palate. Overall, a decent enough example of the style. Worth trying if you see it, and if you're into the style probably worth seeking out. This beer was a perfect example of 22oz bottles suck. 12oz would have been enough of this brew for me, but I was stuck with another whole serving of a beer that sort of bored me. Please breweries, give us your brews in 12 servings, cans or bottles.
