Poured from 22oz bomber into a pint glass.
Appearance: medium orange hue with a moderate-light haze and a pretty strong effervescence. Head is two fingers of frothy ivory foam with a bit of lace left on the glass. Nice.
Smell: smooth, citrusy hops with a pretty strong underlying malt base. A bit on the sweet side, but that is to be expected. I really like the character, but it is a bit light in intensity, especially for the style.
Taste: strong citrusy hops build upon the sweet malt base. Much more effective than the aroma, although conveying pretty much the same story. Bitterness is strong but not out of hand. I really like the hop character here.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation, although not generating a huge creaminess. It's sufficient, but not wonderful.
Overall: this is a tasty beer, and although it could probably benefit from a few adjustments, is definitely worth the time of day.

bomber into a tulip, no bottling date
pours a rich, dark copper color with an inch and a half lasting white head. good and hoppy aroma with the typical piney NW hop aroma. taste is quite pleasant and surprising. hops are big but the malt character is definitely big and pronounced too. very well balanced. slight bitterness hits you at first but its quickly followed by a sweet citrusy malt kick. very nice. medium bodied with medium carbonation, easy dirnking DIPA for sure.
overall a very good DIPA. west coast brewers just know how to brew IPAs.
