Poured from bomber bottle into lagunitas jar glass. Gave a huge initial head that eventually settled but left quite a good lacing. Beer is a light orange gold, quite clear with an assertive carbonation.

S- papaya, mango, blood orange, some florals, quite a juicy and tropical smell.

T- sweet citrus start, pink lemonade, lychee, and grapefruit, some gentle biscuity pale malt, then more robust orange notes and floral notes. Some yeasty esters to this, getting a bit phenolic toward the finish. Has a bit of a soapy character, the bitterness is quite mellow, juicy tropicals throughout but with a crisp citrus.

M- good and light, refreshing with a satisfying session body and assertive carb.

An interesting and unique beer, something about it seems a bit strange, has some gooseberry/sauv blanc character I think that melds into a tasty session ale. Maybe not something I would drink all the time but an interesting option with a unique hop profile, good herbal hop balance.

650ml --
A: golden honey w amber; opaque
S:fresh grapefruit pine with rich malt balance; deep; nice high pine notes.
T: a full, direct, lean, very we'll integrated taste. The hops are there with a fresh piney taste and clean line of bitterness ... and the malt adds a toffee richness. The combined flavour is greater than the sum of the parts. No butteriness at all. Not a broad fat taste but more lean and food-oriented. Beautiful.
M: medium bodied, clean
O: I really can't ask for much more. So well balanced and delicious. Sip after sip it holds together and gets better and better. Maybe my new PA standard.

A: Pours a clear copper color with a foamy one finger cream colored head. Nice lace coats the glass with every sip.

S: Slight hints of citrus hops (lemon, tangerine) and some faint herbal hops. It feels like there's some biscuity malt hiding in there as well.

T: A very smooth wave of citrus and floral hops hits and fades, leaving some pale malt and a slight herbal note. Incredibly smooth and very approachable. Nothing you have to think too hard about, but a solid beer, nonetheless.

A - pours a slightly hazy yellow/orange with a fluffy head. Good lace. Light bubbles.

S - hops are herbal, mild citrus with a hint of pine and spice. Moderate caramel malt note.

T - follows the aroma. Good flavor, but nothing to get excited about.

M - smooth bitterness with a short sustain. Medium body. Creamy.

O - not something I would buy again, but I would be pleased to drink several of them for free.

Pours a hazy orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a thin cap on top of the beer. Thick rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Tiny particles of sediment are seen suspended in the beer after the pour. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and slight herbal hop aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour citrus zest and herbal flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice balance between citrus and herbal hop aromas and flavors.

Nice appearance with the classic amber color and a fine-grained foam. Lots of lacing in the glass. A touch of mango in the nose.

Flavor starts out with a soft and mineral sensation, followed by some sweet malt, and then the hoppy bite. Overall this is really restrained and even sophisticated. Mellow and tangy with a hint of spice. The hops are not too bitter except for the aftertaste. A hint of tangerine peel. Just a little sharp. The mineral taste is like a really good seltzer water and leaves a nice fizz on the tongue.

Quite drinkable and another pleasant and friendly brew from Gigantic. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Beer Revolution in Oakland.

Appearance. Pours a hazy gold with a touch of amber, topped with a finger of thick off-white head.

Smell. Nice citrusy hops, lemon comes to mind, and some lightly toasted grainy malts. Smells great.

Taste. Bright citrusy hops, light grainy malts with a bit of sweetness. Very nice.

Mouthfeel. Medium (maybe a bit below) body, below medium smooth and creamy carbonation.

Overall. A fantastic pale. I could drink this stuff all day.

22oz : SN IPA Glass

Clear, coppery, golden with a thick, craggy off white head.

Pretty standard citric, hopppy character with some piney highlights in both the nose and taste, balanced with a lightly sweet, toasty, malt backbone.

Medium body, average, foamy carbonation.

Another fairly straightfoward hoppy, American pale ale. Certainly tasty and easy drinking, but nothing particularly memorable.

Nothing too crazy here but a very well done APA that is both piney and citrusy at the same time. The hops are the stars here and they shine in a incredibly drinkable beer that is also nuanced enough to savour the complexity. The finish has a lovely long hop note that I love and the nose is also very fragrant. Well done Gigantic

Poured from a 650ml bottle. Pours an orangish yellow. Gigantic is always a bit cagey about their beer styles, but this one definitely smells like a West Coast APA with inviting notes of pine and citrus. On the palate it's fairly light bodied and quaffable with citrus, grainy malt and ginger/spice notes. Excellent carbonation.

Poured into a Chuckanut pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a fine white head with great retention and lacing. Friendly aroma of pine and citrus hops, biscuit malt; fresh hops. Flavor is light citrus; tangerine and lemon and light citrus rind, hints of stone fruit, light pine and citrus hops, semi-sweet malt. Light to medium bodied with pleasant active carbonation. A nice pale ale that skates a fine line of balance between the citrus flavors and light fresh hops. It almost veers into a somewhat sour astringency, but the malt and fresh hops pull it through. Nicely done.
