Our Pilsner is assertively hopped with Hallertau and Tettnanger noble hops and has a cracker-like malt backbone that finishes crisp and dry coming in at 4.8% ABV, which makes this one highly drinkable (which is the point, duh).

Poured a cloudy gold with a two finger head into a pint glass. Not much on the nose at all except for some faint malt. Taste is malty grassy and somewhat peppery and it’s a little scratchy going down. There’s a lingering bitterness that pretty much ruins the overall experience for me.

Poured from the can into a nonic pint.
A: fluffy white 2 finger rocky head that compacts to a skinny pinky finger. Some lacing. Staying power. Light golden yellow as per style.
S: light noble pils hops with some slight earthy and lemongrassy notes. Malts peek through with a very pleasant light baked crackery note.
T: very good balance. Earthy light lemongrassy noble hop notes with light malt backbone and no strong or peppry yeast notes. Almost a very light acidic note at very end of swallow.
M: again the balanced taste follows directly to a lighter side of medium-light body with the light acidity helping keep the finish clean and tidy. Excellent balance again.
O: this is a very good example of the more understated side of the classic pilsner. Highly recommended of you like gentle, subtly nuanced beer.

(12 oz can, purchased as part of variety pack dated 144-19... poured into a simple glass mug)
L: almost crystal-clear, pale honey-gold liquid; off-white, thick cottony pad of foam... misty collar retains, but little lace left
S: lemon-floral soap, mashed lemon peel, lemon-pepper spice; lightly-toasted roll crust... perfumy floral edge stands out
T: herbal/spicy hops up front, peppery lemon zip in its finish/aftertaste; pretzel-like baked-grainy quality to the malt flavor... a good bit more hop intensity than most German import pils with which I'm familiar... lovely (phenolic) bitterness builds, pervades floor of palate; subtle doughy pils malt knot blooms in back
F: soft, silky texture to its body; light fizz in the finish, residual resinous film on the front and mellow spicy warmth humming in the back of the palate... relatively level plane to its flow
O: another can I had last night had less haze and more rocky foam retention... seemingly smartly made; strikingly tasty from first sip to last

Around a medium body as well as medium carbonation.
Aroma is bitter hops, grapefruit, malt citrus peel cracker and grain
Taste is very identical to aroma, heavy on bitter hops, grapefruit followed by some grain and cracker.
Overall it was a very decent beer, more bitter than I expect from a pilsner but still very flavorful

Golden yellow in color with a light hazy appearance. Poured with a short, soapy, bright white foam with low retention. Medium light pilsner malt aroma with light bready notes. No hop aromas. Medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Grainy malt flavors followed by herbal hop flavors that expand into the middle with light pilsner malt beneath. Medium high bitterness through the middle followed by grainy pilsner maltiness to the end. Finished crisply with bready malt notes and lingering earthy bitterness. Definitely on the hopper side for the style which takes away from the malt character. Still an easy drinking brew, but the lingering bitterness is a bit of a detractor.

Slightly hazed pale straw color, with violently churning effervescence and two fingers of long-lasting white head. Leaves impressive lacing.
Hay-like hops, with a hint of lemon and bready corn in the nose. Similar taste with a dull bitterness on the backend and a semi-dry finish.
Medium bodied for the style with appropriate carbonation.
Not quite as crisp as I like them, but still a pretty solid version -- like a Prima Pils that dials down the hops a tad in favor of some slightly bready, cakey malt.

Light, crisp, refreshing. The more pilsners I drink the more I realize that there are a lot of brewers making good, very enjoyable versions but very few making truly exceptional ones. Trauger falls into the former. Clear light gold pour with a soft dimply head. Aroma is white bread toast, cracker and light floral hops. Taste is cracker, dough, biscuit and slightly peppery malt. Pinch of bitterness on the backend. Crisp throughout.
