Bought a bottle from the brewery. At first I thought it was the typical County Line until one of the brewers told me it was dry hopped with Nugget. I believe this was the only batch bottled so far but no indication on the bottle if it was dry hopped or not. But from the tasting this is a totally different beer then the one I tasted more then a few times.
Poured into a tulip a hazy golden color with a nice white two finger heading. Settles to a nice ring around the glass with decent lacing throughout.
Nose is a bit busy. A subtle kick of alcohol with a lemon zest. But the star of the show is pine, this smells exactley like pine trees. LOL. Spicey notes as well.
That piney aroma in the nose comes out in full force in the taste. Very bitter on the palate that only makes me taste hop oils and resin. A sugary, hotter alcohol kick in the finish.
Medium bodied and a little on the chewy side. Decent carbonation.
Well for all you west coast IPA fans this is our east coast hop bomb. Pretty Impressive in my mind. Tremendous job from NCBC.
