Draft offering served in a snifter at the union beer house in Lebanon. The brew appears a dark clouded brown color with a khaki head that leaves stringy lace on the glass. pretty fair retention considering the potency.

The smell includes plenty of bourbon, oak and roast. Some raw barrel character emits upfront before maturing into the more pleasant and subtle nuance of coconut and vanilla-like sweetness.

The taste is roasty like bitter bakers cocoa. Some raw oak barrel, earth and roat with a bit of herbal to citrus hops adding additional bitterness to the already aggressive profile of burnt grain roasty bitterness.

This is a full bodied brew that is thick and modestly carbonated. Overall not bad but not the greatest either. This is however leaps and bounds better than the base beer.

10oz pour on-tap.

Appearance
Pitch black with a 1/2 finger of brown head that dissipates quickly.

Nose
Wild Turkey bourbon, caramel and hints of dark chocolate.

Taste
Wild Turkey bourbon and caramel. Notes of molasses and dark chocolate. Hints of oak and vanilla. Finishes with some earthy roast and charcoal.

Mouthfeel
Medium-full bodied, smooth and silky.

Overall
The 6 months in a Wild Turkey barrel really shows as it takes over the base beer. This may be a bourbon lover's dream, but I would still love to see some of the Leon remain. However it is still very smooth and hides the alcohol well.
