Appearance: it has a nice clear yellow with a golden hue shining through light. With a moderately vigorous poor a think head develops with good retention and good lacing.

Smell: the aroma is definitely one-sided, typical of hoppy beers. Citrus and piney notes but with a tinge of something woody or earthy. Really nice!

Taste: grapefruit definitely comes through, not too much sweetness and a nice finishing bitterness. Really well done and dry. Mouthwatering even.

Mouthfeel: it has a medium carbonation and leaves a film-like texture in your mouth even after ten seconds or so.

Drinkability: Refreshing and not too overpowering with bitterness, smells amazing. Congrats to the team at Le Castor, great job!

A:
Pours a slightly hazy warm yellow with two fingers of pristine white head that settles to a healthy film. Good retention; some streaky lacing.

S:
Resinous citrus bomb. Orange, lemon find, pineapple, honey, some woody dryness, tea-like astringency, warm mushy cereal aroma underneath it all.

T:
Dry and earthy. A lot less citric than one would guess from the nose. Strong dank hops flavors with some pine, earth, pith, and a dry tingly finish.

M:
Dry and sating. Medium bodied with nice crisp carbonation and a lingering dusty aftertaste.

O:
Nice IPA from anywhere. Glad it is from QC.
Nice looking with a great big fruity smell. It is dry and sticky tasting and had a near perfect palate for an IPA.
This is a fine beer and is quite drinkable. I feel like Quebec IPAs are starting to come into their own more and more (at least as far as what I have tried goes...)
Would have again; worth getting ahold of.

Bomber from Brouehaha QC for $6.99+

Appearance - Gold colour with a large size white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is some great lacing. The head lasted for around 4-5 minutes before it was gone.

Smell - Hops, apricots, grapefruit, breads/grains

Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste apricot, grapefruit, and malts. There is also pineapple, resiny hops, and citrus zest.

Overall - Wow - it's amazing how far quebec IPA's have come in the last few years. This plus Moralite have really changed the landscape for QC brews. This is pretty bang on for a west coast style IPA, and I can get it fresh. My bottle was from a case stamped May 26th. If this was in a smaller format like moralite, it would be one of my go to's.

Almost tastes like a fresh hop ipa with the hops really moving to the fore in both the nose and the finish the citrus flavours shine with types of hops used not much malt backbone as Fat Tug which drops it down in my book. Still an amazing ipa and from Quebec to boot

(3.75) A: Hazy straw coloured with a fingers worth of tan head that modestly creamy and bubbly. Lasting retention and lacing that sticks.

(4.0) S: Pine, pineapple, papaya, hints of banana, nutty qualities, and buttered bread. This also has a nice underlying earthy aroma like damp moss or mushrooms.

(4.25) T: Pine, tart citrus (grapefruit), juicy tropical (pineapple), spices, and baked bread. Lots of dryness with a nice middle ground for the bitterness without being overly bitter. Flavourful and fresh tasting with those solid IPA qualities done well.

(4.0) M: Medium bodied with med-higher carbonation. Slick and oily with a bit of resin-like texture.

(4.0) D: This is a great IPA and one I could drink on a regular basis. Will have to keep my eye out to try other Le Castor offerings.

A: Very pale, actually a lot paler than I was expecting, almost pilsener-esque. Lacing was great and each sip was easily visible. Head sustained itself brilliantly and was a nice white color.

S: Pungent pineapple tropical fruit aromas. I didn't get so much of the pine but there was perhaps a touch there. Maybe even a bit of garlic and onions if you really wanted to search for it. (I'm guessing citra)

T: Hops immediately embrace the palate and provide the same notes they do on the aroma. Pineapple, sweet citrus, tangerine, a bit of grapefruit. It's really not the boring generic cascade and crystal malt IPA which is great to see. The malt backbone could maybe use a bit of work and is a bit lack luster but it does its job decently. I did get a bit of a corn like taste off the malt but nothing too severe.

M: Moderate body. The head is always around to grace the tongue with some creamy goodness. Fairly dry but really easy drinking.

O: A really good beer. I could see this being great to drink in the summer on the porch along with a nice pairing. Very refreshing overall. It's nice to see a branch of from the englishy style IPA's I've had too many times from Quebec. Also its organic :)
