32oz growler from DryHop. Served in an Alchemist pint glass.

A - A few fingers of white foam settles to a solid, thick cap, but minimal lacework. Lightly hazed golden body with tiny bubbles slowly rising upward.

S - Hefty aroma of juicy citrus, floral notes, hint of pine, cereal grains and slightly doughy malts. The house malt bill definitely has a distinct character, and this series of beers is definitely more in line with my APA expectations. Nice balance, good potency, and no obvious alcohol.

T - The taste has less of the malt sweetness to it, and more of a neutral crackery quality to it. Pine and floral hops seem to overtake the citrus and fruity hop flavors as well, although there's a definite grapefruit peel flavor late. Not overly bitter, but the lack of sweetness makes it seem a bit more intense than expected. Pleasant, but perhaps lacking the depth and intensity of the aroma.

M - Creamy, soft carbonation, smooth medium body. Good heft for 5.5%, and definitely consistent with DryHop's lower carbonation level. Quite easy to drink.

D - I think I liked The Judge a tiny bit more, but this was nearly as good. Had no problem with the growler on my own, and would happily drink this again. Hopefully this series of APAs gets put into regular rotation.
